I'm looking for manga like Berserk and Shin Angyo Onshi. One with a complex, and well planned, plot. Also needs to be a long ass series, and deep characters. Manga that takes place in historical settings are preferred! And tons of action!

Don't give up on Ubel Blatt just because of the similarity to Berserk. You see the difference in plot after you read a bit on.

And I see nobody mentioned Historie. I highly suggest you look at that one. REALLY good. It's historical, and I personally had the best time reading Historie, Vinland Saga and Vagabond one after the other.

cross out Banya....didn't notice you said long, but Worst might work, the plot gets mad deep and theres lots of action too, and it's damn long
