Taking a break to "Collect Data"?

As I was reading this, I kept wondering why the heck that mist kid, apropos of nothing, felt the need to tell everyone how oh-so-very-strong Kisame is. (He even interrupted a conversation about locating Naruto & Killer Bee...) And then of course, why didn't I see it coming, a couple pages after that, guess who shows up to take on Killer Bee?

So then, was all that just a setup to justify the fact that the awesome Killer Bee is about to get messed up by Kisame? As much as it would suck, I could see it happening. Like in any other shonen manga, Naruto is the be-all and end-all. Kishimoto might like the idea of Naruto standing alone as the last host. Without no. 8, Killer Bee wouldn't need to participate in the battle and could be free to train Naruto how to better control the kyuubi or something.

Well, whatever. A few miscellaneous points:

1. I don't understand Madara's plan at all (does Madara even understand Madara's plan?) It's insanely convoluted. Why doesn't he just go all Dr. Evil and build a "laser" on the moon instead? It'd be simpler.

2. It was really cool to see Gaara finally getting listened to and respected. But what's even more cool is that Kakashi may become the de facto leader/Konoha liaison in the eyes of the alliance. This could make for all sorts of interesting storyline possibilities with Naruto's team turning double agents for both Konoha and the alliance, maybe.

3. I thought the manga had forgotten about Rock Lee, so it's nice to see that he got to come along on the mission, but I'm also kinda surprised. I assumed Shikamaru was going to be the 4th man before...

Actually, I think you might be having to wait 2 weeks. He's taking a break to, erm, 'collect data'.

ANYWAY, in regards to the plot, I like where this is heading! Hopefully it keeps up, because it's got good potential.
Looking forward to this battle. If it stay's cliche, then Kisame would win, leaving Naruto as the last host. Hopefully there will be some sort of twist though.

what i think will happen is kisame wins, takes him to wherever, naruto and people will run and try to retreive killer bee, succeeding, then killer bee will be like you need training naruto, teaching him how to control the kyuubi, also theirs the thing itachi did to naruto, which i think will help with this.

Guess this is kind of late...(even though its Friday) I..actually did like this chapter; mainly because of the end part. Killer Bee always lightens up my day hahaha xD In other news..Kisame is so not human. And was the Raccoon that was with Sab wielding a giant axe..?

You can't put chekhov's gun into play and not fire it. Also, you need to read better shonen. Maybe Negima, Rave or Fairy Tail. One Piece would also work.

Heh. I do read better shonen than this! But Naruto is like... trash cinema, I guess. It's not very good, but somehow I still enjoy it, especially if I can throw popcorn and talk back to the screen.

Unless Kishimoto introduces a new character that can do the same reviving jutsu that Chiyo and Nagato were able to do, or he makes a character we already know of learn how to revive someone, then I highly doubt that it will happen. The latter seems more likely, but I still think that Kishimoto won't revive Killerbee if he decides to kill him. If it happens to Naruto however, then Kishimoto will make up something that'll keep him alive.

I think in the next chapter we're going to see Kisames real strength, but before they finish the battle, Madara is going to interrupt them, because a problem suddenly occured. I think Naruto's going to meet Killer Bee, before KB gets killed.
And now that Sasuke has become more evil than before, I'd like him to become so insane, so that there's no more hope left, that he's going to come back, and then it wouldn't hurt so much when he dies. I also think that the final battle is Naruto vs Madara, right after Naruto had to kill Sasuke. That'd be my ending after reading this chapter 🙂
And about Madara's plan, I think he knows that the Kage's won't let the Bijuu's participate in the battle, because then, he could get them "secretly".

Oh...I wish I could agree with you on Sasuke's death...but we all know Naruto is going to save Sasuke from his depravity...look how many Naruto has "cured"...(Gaara, Pain, Negi,even Itachi to some extent) all came to see the light after Having a chat/fight with Naruto....Itachi even gave Naruto a portion of his powers seeing how determined Naruto was, to save Sasuke and Itachi only gave that power to Naruto after making sure that he is leaving his brother in good hands...now, do you really think that Naruto will fail in bringing his best friend back to the correct path when he has even converted his enemies? (I personally wish that Sasuke will just roll over and die already but Kishi doesnt want Sasuke die and that's what matters) Also, Sasuke still has to marry Sakura and revive his stupid clan by populating it with his little Uchihas

Sub-chan's bear(Pontai(?)) tries attacking Kisame.

Sub-chan: "Pontai!"
Kisame: "You're a really reckless and talkative Jinchuuriki, aren't you. But first, this strange little bear..."

Pontai is about to swipe at him...

Scene change

Ao: "It doesn't seem that this was a trap of Danzou's. It's more likely the Akatsuki's ninjutsu."

He gets rid of Zetsu's spore jutsu.

Ao: "Maybe I/we should hurry..."

Fuu: (Says something about Zetsu's jutsu and how it preys on and transfers the vicitm's chakra to the host)

They/He is liberated from Zetsu's jutsu too.

Danzou: "So even you didn't notice it then."
Torune: "So, what about the guy who has been tailing us for a while now?"
Fuu: "He's still at it... It'd be good if he fell into [our] trap though."
Torune: "Your trap is special. It'll work"
Danzou: "I don't care if he lives or dies... But take out his right eye."
Fuu: "Wha-"

Danzou told them to take Ao's right eye because he wants the Byakugan he has.
Fuu: "...I'm leaving my body to you in sec, Torune."
Just about then, Ao runs into the trap. A puppet attacks him with a sickle(?)
Ao: "?!"
The sickle are thrown at him, whom catches it and throws it back at the puppet, lodging it into it.
Ao: "A booby trap... This time it must be Danzou's."
There's a note on the puppet's forehead with the kanji for 'curse'. The kanji disappears.
Ao: "?!"
Puppet: "What is going on? How can you see my body?!"
Ao: "The mind-puppet switch curse seal technique... That's the name of this jutsu."
Puppet: "Damn it! Is this a mind-switch that curses whoever attacks you?!"(Unsure)
The puppet is actually Fuu.
Looks like the mind of the puppet switched places.
Torune: "What do we do after this?"
Torune is carrying Fuu's human body over his shoulder.
Danzou: "I'll tell you what my intentions are as soon as Fuu returns to his body."

Mifune: "I have no doubt that now that he knows Hachibi is alive, he's going be more composed than before. What I said earlier was me jumping to conclusions. Please forgive me. Moreover, everyone worked well together earlier and you made countermeasures quickly. And the key, to control the Bijuu Hachibi; Only Raikage-dono would be able to do that."
Tsuchikage: "Mizukage, Kazekage, is that fine with you?"
Mizukage: "I can't agree to it right now, but I have faith in Raikage-sama."
Gaara: "Let's leave it to the Raikage"
Raikage: "Oonoki of the Twin Ryou Scales, the only one who has experience fighting Uchiha Madara is you, so your intel will be vital. Cooperate with us."(Take this line with some salt. I'm a bit unsure about it)
Tsuchikage: "You're such a guy with a commanding tone."

(Oonoki of the Twin Ryou Scales = Tsuchikage)

Tsuchikage: "Well, better than losing this war... If the shinobi world were to disappear, then quarreling with you is out of the question... So I'll cooperate. The Shinobi Alliance is formed!! First we must let the feudal lords know about this."

Meanwhile

Naruto: "Wha..?! What did you just say, Sakura-chan?! I think I misheard you, say it again."
Sakura: "As I said, Naruto, I like/love you! Sasuke-kun doesn't mean anything to me any more! I don't know why I could love anyone like him... I'm confessing to you here, so listen to me."
Naruto: "But why...? How come...? If you're joking, then this isn't funny at all... Sakura-chan.... Just... What the hell happened[to you]...?"
Sakura: "Nothing, really... I just opened my eyes... I don't need to love someone who is a missing-nin and a criminal, do I? I'm not going to be a child forever. I'm going to look reality in the eye."

Naruto recalls a scene where/when Sakura loved Sasuke.
Sakura hugs Naruto.

Sakura: "I've just grown apart from Sasuke-kun... But you've always been at my side, Naruto. You cheered me on... I've realized... how you really are. You're a hero who protected the village. Everyone in the villages loves you now.... I've just become one of them... You were that mischievous dead-last... but little by little you've grown lovely and handsome... You were close to me so I saw it. But Sasuke-kun keeps committing crimes... It just breaks my heart... He's just become someone distant to me."
Naruto: "..."

Shit this just going the way I predicted unfortunately...that even if Sakura tried to confess to Naruto, he would never believe her because in Naruto's mind, Sakura can never return his love because Sakura's love for Sasuke is too strong and Naruto will always look out for Sakura's happiness and wants Sasuke to be happy as well and I predicted that Naruto will ignore his pwn feelings and will himself bring Sakura and Sasuke together. Unfortunately for me, looks like I was absolutely correct. Stupid Naruto! But its pretty clear that Sakura is just forcing herself to abandon her feelings for Sasuke and trying to convince herself that she is truly in love with Naruto. I just hope that Sakura's feelings for Naruto are genuine and not something out of pity or a ploy to stop Naruto to stop chasing after Sasuke, because, if her feelings for Naruto are genuine, Sakura will not take back her words. But we all know, how Naruto can understand Sakura perfectly, so Naruto can, maybe see right through Sakura and can tell she is just forcing herself. If that's the case, then I really feel sorry for Naruto, as it would become clear to him that Sakura can never actually love himm and change her feelings for Sasuke. The chapter after this will be crucial, it will either be a make or break for Naruto, that is, it will either end all the chances of Naruto and Sakura ending up together once and for all or, it will keep the chance alive for Sakura to start really falling for Naruto. Naruto will either clearly see that he still has a chance to sway Sakura's feelings or he will see that Sakura's feelings can never be changed. It all depends on how Sakura responds to Naruto's accusations and if Naruto hit the nail on the head in this chapter, then I guess Naruto's love will remain unrequited 😔
