okay, its getting on my nerve reading this manga for the last 10-15 chapter , first what i really doesnt agreed with bleach after grimjow saga ( DBZ fan 😀 ) is :

too many new character introduced at once, plus its has a very hard-name-to-remembered, luckily they has number on their a** , but still!! :no:

and then u have this same story line, which is goes on 5-6 chapter, where the sudden-introduced-new-char is suddenly being forgotten , which is no point to introduced them!! >:-( [/spoiler]

another thing is, we know they are new-guy-in-town but, did u have to flash back all their past in every chapter!? 🙁 for god sake we know aizen will be included , which is pointless , it was the same past as the first ones was flash back...[/spoiler]

and fight scene is 😔 .. what with the lame-cocky-too-calm-to-be-tensed mood?? its a very same ol lame fight scene since rurouni kenshin... [/spoiler]

the only thing keep me reading this manga is , when will aizen 'wrath' is end so that they can go to school again 🤢 [/spoiler]

bleach's weakness is Kubo's idea that fight>plot
honestly, the fights are not at all bad, they just get messy and confusing when there are like 6 going on at once

To me, the biggest weakness is the fact that it is pure shounen. Its "Oh, wait, I'm not strong enough to defeat this guy, even though I'm already the strongest..... power up time... AGAIN." over and over and over. And to me, the fights were all kinda the same, once you got down to it. Plus, the characters aren't the most endearing or people you could relate to, so it couldn't even keep me reading it because of that, like Naruto, which also has the same flaws.

(Note; I stopped reading this at like.. chapter 200, soooo, this is only relevant up to that point.)

but at least the majority of naruto fights involve the main cast and secondary cast. Bleach is just...main cast, secondary cast, tertiary cast...and so on...

Both of them are also getting shounen-y that most long series do where each chapter really covers nothing at all. Whereas at the beginning when one chapter was intensive and covered good ground in terms of plot, it's gotten to the point where you can skip three chapters and still not miss anything in plot.

And yes, the cast is waaaay too huge.

Actually I don't mind the large cast it's diverse in both age and gender the thing is he doesn't know how to manage, use them properly or even really write. It's the same story as the rukia arc. Also most "shonen jump" manga seem to confuse powering up as character development its not. the characters personality and costume designs are boring and one dimensional. I read this comic out of habit up to when soi fong used her bankai which proved that he can't write a ninja with a super missle launcher very creative

bleach's weakness is... it ain't over until ichigo slashes the boss... It will just drag on and on and on... unless ichigo deals the final blow... (well most shounen mangas do it anyway 😃 )

Seriously though, all Kubo needs to do is learn how to pace his story, learn to better utilize his characters (i.e. Have the villains not act like complete dumbasses), and go back to making good plot twists.

Kubo sucks because he is unable to make the winner of a fight look good, the way the fights develop and end always make the loser look bad, not the winner look good.

There is not a clear power chart because Kubo relies in a character fighting in a stupid way, instead of making a character fight in a smart way (besides Ishida vs Mayuri, this seems to be the common rule) a character that behaved stupidly in the pass, is suddenly the smartest fighter (in Kubo's dreams), and the plot after SS is just plain Bullshit.

The good guys never die, and WAIT suddenly the bad guys turn out to be just victims of manipulation (Shinigamis and now Espadas), Kubo sucks because he introduced a very creative world with very interesting dynamics, but seems to be completely unable to use that in his favor...

Kubo sucks because he seems to think that new characters are good for the plot, but also seems to forget that, if they don't die they just start to pile up and become annoying...

Kubo sucks because he turned his own good manga in a pile of rotten shit... that is slightly better than Naruto, but that is hardly a compliment...

Bleach was really fun to read up to just past the SS arc. It fell down to mediocrity after that, and the moment they went to hueco mundo the whole series was in the shitter.

There are some major faults with the guys story, mainly the power base. I remember a fight in karakura town before the hueco mundo arc. You know, when grimmjow first fought ichigo.
I believe Hitsugaya said something about just barely being able to beat those guys, and only because of the element of surprise due to their power seal. And if I remember correctly, the guys they fought were arrancar underlings.
So if you can only barely defeat the underling, and only because of the element of surprise, how the hell can you fight on parr with the boss a few chapters later?

And another thing, when did everyone learn to fly? I remember seeing ichigo fly in soul society, but he needed some strange rare artifact to do so. Coming out of soul society, suddenly every asshat can fly. Did I miss a memo or something?

As a person that used to like bleach a LOT... I will try to answer this

Is something that I decided to believe in order to keep mental sanity so here it goes.

The flying/floating thing seems to be an advanced form of Hoho, in with the "person" uses their spirit energy aka reiki to walk on mid air or on top of the human world spirit particles, because as spirits in the REAL WORLD, some of the laws can be bended or broken (Gravity)...

and thanks for the support, I knew I wasn't alone in this.

I figured it out. Tite isn't necessarily bad with manga plots. He is bad with handling action elements. To him, action means long drawn-out fights and power-ups. He doesn't know of another way to deal with action.

The non-action Bleach scenes are actually quite enjoyable. Like, Tatsuki punching Ichigo (whaaaa-, character development in my Bleach?!!), Urahara nonchalantly declaring Inoue as useless, and well, all the other random trivia moments.

To me, Bleach would be a lot better as a slice-of-life comedy manga, if you erase everything that happened after the SS arc. Byakuya's deadpan moments, Zaraki's homicidal tendencies, ... all you need for a good comedy! 🤣
