This week's poll comes from our member ChocoKun. Basically it comes down to how much do you pay attention to the art style. Of course, it's a little generalized (as there are manga's that have a manhwa art style), but hey, it's an interesting poll!

You can discuss this poll on our forums here:
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=30653

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related):
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: A manga you want to read is licensed in English (or language of preference) but is only currently available in an e-book format. You...
Choices:
Already own the e-book reader - votes: 990 (8.9%)
Buy an e-book reader - votes: 226 (2%)
Don't get an e-book reader but just buy the series and read on computer - votes: 1177 (10.6%)
Wait for the paper version - votes: 1788 (16.1%)
Keep reading scanlations anyway - votes: 6900 (62.3%)
There were 11081 total votes.
The poll ended: December 10th 2011

Close to 1000 people already own an e-book reader. Well, I have been wanting to get a Kindle...

Manhwa is not scarce in here. So most of the time i can tell from the art that it's manhwa(before looking for who is the author's name). Korean artist is usually have some difference if you compare their art with manga. For the difference i can't really name it, i just know.

Art style? I think the way their panels are laid is the thing that differentiates those three... For me, at least. 😉

Many of the cover pages have similar color schemes. A lot look similar to Freezing. Pretty much all looks like, or similar to, IM Dal-Young's (author of Freezing) work, which most of it is, or at least the ones that I read anyways.

If a manwha artist makes a "manwha/manga", but releases it in Japan, then it's a manga. The style is still the manwha style, the styles art different, but you can't say for sure that it's manga or manwha.

I can't tell by the art, just by the names. Granted, I don't much care either, I tend to read more for plot than art anyway.

I have not read many manhwa, because not a lot are scanlated, but I hope not all of them have artwork that is as bad as [m]Liar Game[/m] or Tower of God (if they are manhwa indeed; I know the latter is a webtoon).

As for manhua and OEL . . . Yeah, nothing comes to mind (although I thought that [m]Initial Experience[/m] was a manhua due to the raws' (or I guess Chinese scanlations) being hosted on a Chinese website -_-; ).

I find a bigger difference in plot line. Manwha seems to hop all over the place and be jumpy. I've seen manga do it too but less often.

If anything, the main thing for me is to look at the hair of a character on the page... Manwha characters and Manga characters have this line between them that distinguish this for me... Also, sometimes facial expressions point out which one it is.

Oh, well, I have a Kindle, but I picked the scanlations choice. Cuz well, I'd rather read on a larger screen.

".......it's a little generalized (as there are manga's that have a manhwa art style),..."
I've got the feeling, I already said this, but it's possible for a manwha artist to draw a manga (the artist just need to move to Japan), For example the author/artist for Sun-Ken Rock is from Korea, so this gives it a manwha style even if it is a manga.
