I care a lot. I can't stand long strip, and I can't stand some style. Though quality is even more important. Mid or even below mid is still acceptable, but below even that and I can't handle it.

The art usually tells me a lot about what kind of story it is so I pay attention to it. There are also some art styles that I dislike so I avoid stories with them. But I don't require stories to have great art. If the art is so so or a bit weird, but the story is more interesting than average, that's good enough to me.

usually i don't really care about the art style unless it's just plain ugly to me, or like a kids drawing kind of style. Honestly it's rarely a factor generally.

I really care for artstyle and it **must **suit the story and demographics.
It must be at least at the level of revised OPM quality. or as beautiful and artful to torino style.
I really hate and abhor the bishounen style-gayish artstyle/art with beautiful boys/beautiful men tropes but enforced into many shounen/seinen magz, and even serialized for months.
It's better to endure the moe-blob artstyle with boring story, which is usually the laid-back daily life cute stories, than being forced or even paid to read or watch full action-packed male characters bishounen art style, which then suddenly presenting gay or bi-relationships from out of nowhere.
I have been travelling around the world since 3 in five continents. My target is to travel to North and South Pole respectively. I love Japan and its culture the most, that's why I'm here. I hate the Western toxic f. culture where you are hated for being just existing... Now, retiring for life and enjoying life disconnected from modern world ~

I care a lot about art style—not whether it’s “eye-catching” or “unappealing,” but about specific details that affect how natural or immersive the manga feels. For example:
-
Characters’ mouths are drawn way too small and their chins overly pointy
-
Side profiles with open jaws are drawn like a normal closed-mouth side view, just with a hole on one side
-
Backgrounds are overly plain and empty
-
Photographs are simply converted into manga-style art instead of being drawn
-
Characters look like they’re “glowing” because of obvious white borders around them
Those are my art pet peeves when picking up a manga.
