Yea, One Piece is one of the best manga to date.

EDIT: Accidentally hit submit. But yea, sales don't necessarily equate to good quality, but in this case, it does. And it's not like One Piece is more accessible. It's published in the same magazine as Naruto and Bleach, so the popularity of the sales of individual volumes is simply because people enjoy One Piece more.

Totally agree. One Piece is my favorite ongoing manga right now, it's an epic! There's something there for everyone and it's really top grade quality. I'm as excited for the next chapter as I was years ago. This current break between the chapters is kind of killing me, lol /addicted

Also, I don't think anything can compare to One Piece in the shounen department. Seriously, it's not just the mangas, but everything else related to One Piece sells like freaking hot cakes. I mean Strong World got a gross income of 400 million yen the first day it came out in theatre. So far, no other shounen movie has gotten a record like that.

To add to this, I believe that Oda did a great job in terms of possibilities: his universe is extremely creative and the entire concept of Devil Fruits is brilliant. He can logically and consistently give just about any power to just about any character (the only other manga which has as wide a "superpower" system is HxH with an aura system - basically people can develop most abilities that can be thought of). Anyways, I truly admire authors who manage to incorporate such great systems in their works.

  Have been reading One Piece for the past 5 years... so far the best shonen manga out there there are bether mangas people 😛 but it you want to read something till you get old and make kids and make them read it then thats One Piece...

I'm not suprised that OP surpassed naruto and bleach by such great numbers. I'm not a vivd fan of OP, but I least know that OP is more interesting and solid than bleach and naruto. When I read it I actually look forward to the next chapters and not thinking "ugh" (even though I forget about it until next week when the new chap. comes out) even as a child when I watched those horribly dubbed episodes I still enjoyed watching OP.
@regnum I'm not suprised fairy tale surpassed bleach. Looking at where bleach is going nowadays Fariy tale WILL surpass bleach unless bleach somehow manages to find it's way again soon.

Indeed. One Piece doesn't tire the viewers even with the length. It just gets better and better. Surprisingly, it has been in the anime/manga community for years, and yet the Mugiwara journey never declines in regards to the quality.
One Piece is the definition of addiction.
