At to what extent would you go just to answer a forum question?
This is kinda dumb,but i'm curious.exactly how far?

for example:
long ago [sounds like a fairy tale...] this one member from another manga site asked where they could get raws of a certain manga,and then i found this one site with a lot of the raws,but i needed to sign up...so i signed up just to get the raws...and thats how far i went to help someone :]

how about you? how far would you go?

*to those people that think i went too far: i know.its weird...i dont know why,but it became a habit ever since i signed up for that one site...

I don't go that far. If I don't know what is asked for, I just try a few choice words on google and hope something turns up.

It depends on how much enthusiasm I have in that moment.

But if I do decide to help, I'll go all the way~

Thirded...most people would probably just do so if they're interested on the subject.

It depends if I think I can help them, who they are (like a friend or something), or if it's a forum I post a lot at and feel at more home.
I'd be more likely to help someone here than at a forum where I just registered and knew no one.

But if I said that I would help someone, then I will do my best to do it, and go as far as I can.

I've spent 3 hours reading a crash dump file for someone I only know online. I read through about 500mb of memory before figuring out what was crashing his pc.

That's typically as far as I'll go, unless I really like that person and know they'd go the extra mile for me if I made a request of a similar nature.

There are so many more knowledgable people here (some of the mods scare me with their knowledge) that I'm not all that useful, most of the time. =)

Depends how much time I have and how generous I'm feeling. Sometimes I spend ages trawling through my lists to get a good selection of manga when people post in I'm looking... or I search google to find the info and other times I answer questions just off the top of my head if at all.

The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.
