Anyway, this chapter was good, but short. Kishimoto really did a good job making you feel for Minato and Kushina when they're trying their best to protect Naruto and Konoha.

My theory on this is that the kidnapper is Sasukes dad (along with the clan), which in turn led to Konoha making Itachi kill the Uchiha clan for their "treason".

I laughed hysterically at that opening page with baby Naruto and Sasuke.

Great chapter! Minato and Kushina are so awesome. I guess next week we'll see the actual 4th vs. Kyuubi battle. Should be interesting.

Isn't the kidnapper Madara? so its not Sasuke's dad since he's dad was the head of konoha's military (Fugaku something).
Hope this flashback won't be too long.

I'm still going with Madara for the masked man. It may just be the translation, but "Do you have any idea how long I've waited." But, the fact that he calls the 4th Minato seems a little weird to me.

On a side note: I'm still amazed at how little time has passed since the founding of the Leaf village. I've always thought that it was several hundred years old (sounded like that to me in the history tales), but now we find out that it's only been around one hundred years. And, I'm pretty sure that all 5 hokages were alive at the same time.

I imagined this vast history, but now it has shrunk....

Considering Tsunade is the grandchild of the first then yeah. Pretty short. Little over a hundred years I'd say. Hmm.. Blood that spawned two hokages. Tsunade is too old to make babies now so... What a waste of good dna..

DNA thats spawned 3 hokages. The 1st and 2nd are brothers and the 5th is the granddaughter of the 1st so 3 hokages from the same DNA.... so far. I say that b/c its not 100% for sure that Tsunade had no kids. I say that the 4th is the son of Tsunade which would make everyone but the 3rd part of one big family. That and it would make it more likely for Naruto to become the 6th hokage one day since everyother hokage was part of his family.

Also remember how Madara said at one point that the Uchiha's were just lap dogs for the Senju clan since the Senju's were the only ones being Hokages. That would be one huge twist if it really happened.

I've always thought that Sasuke would eventually turn back into a good guy, mainly because Naruto insists on it (and shonen main characters always get what they want), but all these pictures of cute lil' baby Sasuke only make me more sure of it. It's pretty indicative of what the mangaka really thinks of the character deep down if, even after everything that's happened, he has no problem drawing a bunch of cutesy/happy pictures of Naruto + Sasuke together.

Anyway, seeing kid Itachi at the end of the chapter was a nice surprise since I've always wondered about the role the Uchihas played during Madara's attack. Hopefully since Itachi showed up, then it means we'll learn more about it. Because what I want to know is, at what point did the Uchihas get serious about a coup? Did some of them actually collaborate with Madara, or was the clan ostracized (even more than they had already been) after Madara's attack?

Poor Kushina, just barely finishes giving birth and then immediately gets the 9-tails ripped out of her. The fact that she didn't die on the spot after both ordeals really was impressive. Minato, on the other hand, wasn't all that impressive since he ended up getting tricked left and right by Madara. (And he's supposed to be the greatest Hokage ever, isn't he?) But I suppose with him putting on his pimp coat, we'll get to see what he can really do next chapter.

i love the last page. minato looks really cool (sad thing that naruto doesn´t look as good as his father) and chibi itachi holding sasuke just makes my heart wrench

Kunai, explosive tags, and cheap baby tricks, I don't feel the same Madara evil with this guy. Madara is a guy who took a few moments to recover from Amaterasu and collects eyes and to become more powerful. This masked guy doesn't have that level of evil, what he does have is a sharingan and hatred for Konoha, nothing new. No sympathy for formerly pregnant ladies and newborns make him seem like Madara but he was a bit too personal like he knew them already. Other than that we finally get to witness the 4th at his best(should be) and some secrets hidden in the past.

So right now the story have returned to the begining (talk about going in a large circle).
But yes the 1Hokage were married to Mito Uzumaki but she was just a member of the Uzumaki clan just like Kushina (like how the people in the Hyuga and Uchiha clan aren't familiy but just distant blood relatives that all anwser to the main house hold)
