Yeiya Itachi is back. Man Minato looks pretty badass with that coat or whatever, its a shame Naruto kinda looks like a douchebag with his cat whiskers but where is that coat? Naruto should start wearing it or is he already?

This flashback is really interesting. It's nice to know how this all happened.

If the Uchiha clan not ( just ) Madara was behind the Nine tails attack, That would be a better explanation for why the Third authorised the Uchiha Massacre.
Plus I don't believe that's the mask man/woman in the flashback is Madara.

ya something is up, why else would Itachi be watching the baby by himself in the middle of the night!? 😔

While it is possible that the whole Uchiha clan was behind the Kyuubi's attack, I don't see why Hiruzen and all the higher-ups in Konoha would wait so many years before doing something about the Uchiha's betrayal.

Perhaps this will lead into making Itachi a spy to keep watch over his clan. Hiruzen was always very kind so maybe he wanted to give the Uchiha clan another chance. That was Itachi's mission.....to make sure his clan stays in line.

Just all theories at this point though. We'll just have to wait, I guess.

ya... uchiha and hyuga come from the same distant blood... and the senju was said to be from that same distand blood as madara said the 1st senju was the brother of the 1st uchiha.... and both were the sons of the risomething senin. 😀 lol and now naruto have the blood of those uzumaki... poor guy must have the weirdest heritage tree in the whole manga.

I've read a few different translations now. I am starting to think that the Uchiha are working with Madara on this attack. I still say that he's the one that took the Fox (no one else has ever moved through objects like him), but I find that last scene with Itachi holding Sasuke rather odd.

And, this would give the Third Hokage much more reason to kill the Uchiha. He was always so nice to Naruto that I didn't believe he would actually have the Uchiha killed.

I wonder if the masked ninja's method of removing the beast was different than the method Akatsuki uses. Akatsuki removes the beast, then immediately imprisons it. Whereas the masked ninja just removed it to release it. Maybe it doesn't kill the host that way. We've never seen a beast removed from it's host any other way than Akatsuki's method up until now.
