Despite my misanthropic attitude and my friend's insistence that I have homocidal and sociopathic tendancies ( i don't, it's a running joke) I have to say Geass would be more useful. I don't think I could play God the way Light does, I'm far too religious to trespass in that domain and Geass has more uses where as the Death Note can just kill, I doubt I'd be able to use the Death Note very efficiently. Geass would be more fun at parties as well, like ultimate hypnotism!

The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

if you psychopath or serial killer wanna be pick the book, otherwise geass is far more usefull.

Death Note for sure. It's a bit of a trick to use but it's far more powerful than the Geass... well Zero's anyway. Think about it there are only three things that the Geass can do that the Death note can't by default; First use a person's name in a command, Second give commands without knowing someone's name and Third give commands without killing the target. Fortunately you can get past the second and third downsides:

You can always know someone's name by trading eyes for half your life.

Getting around killing your target is tricky but you can do it. If someone's name is misspelled in the note four times by the same person, they become immune to it but the person who wrote it dies. So if you can get someone to write your name incorrectly four times then you can use the note to give a command and then misspell the target's name four times before their time is up thus making them immune. You could also get someone else to misspell the target's name four times but they'd die because of it.

Geass. I think it would be more useful than a death note even though I wouldn't know what kind I'd end up with.

I love both...but I think that Death Note's Yagami is more well done, while the set up of Code geass is more intresting...but since yagami came first~I'd say yagami ^^

After all the arguments, I'm also leaning towards picking the command geass. Geass would seem like a more useful tool to an average person like me, who really doesn't have any ambitions of ruling the world, revenge, or anything like that. In usefulness, the geass pawns the Deathnote. But if you wanna kill, Deathnote is for you (kinda scary). Anyways i could just imagine doing so many fun things with the geass, lol.

First of all you seriously think you can kill all the people you want to kill without someone figuring out that all these mysterious deaths somehow benefit you? Or are you saying you will do as kira did and spread out the times, kill people not related to you and get the support of the whole world. Kira got caught because he was playing god and he stretched himself to far. I seriously doubt you have the mental capacity to be able to kill all those people without becoming insane with guilt and paranoia. Kira was smart he just had the falling of being too showy and having too much pride. He coulda ended everything many times but he just had to be there to laugh in his enemies face while they died. Geass could be used in your words to "get your shit + evidence removed" too, but it can also not kill them. Plus geass wipes the memories of those it has controlled so they wouldnt remember anything anyways. And that stuff in the oneshot is different from the actual story. In the actual manga names written in the D-note cannot be erased.

why does the argument only pertain to murder damn. with geass, u can get outta paying taxes, get backstage passes into any concert, get wit any woman, get any job, and live the good life. the death note is just a rele good hitman, on dat note how many people can u kill till ur bored.

Geass. As 'fun' as it would be to kill people that are better off dead, it just wouldn't feel right to do so and it probably wouldn't end up very well for you. I mean, look at how Light and Misa turned out. 😐

geasse ne day...more specifically zero's geass. Let's get serios most of the ppl who want the death note only want it because thety either get picked on or no one cares for thyier opinions. Honestly if you can learn that many names and hold a grudge against enough ppl to fully use it...your deffinitly psyco b4 you's even laid your hand on it...

Zero's geass alows you to control minds...you can have the smartest person in your clas do all of your hw...have your boss think your hi boss or just have him assume your allways on time and do all your work and just never show up and still get paid...With a geass the sky is the limit. With a death note the limit is your brain...i doubt most ppl in here are as smart as kira...

You're talking about Geass as a whole...if you were to get a Geass (with power that is not to your choosing), you would only have one type of power and it ends there as well...
