Fate/Stay Night Movie!!! And that too the Unlimited Blade Works route!!!
This is something I'm having high hopes with...
But with high hopes usually comes dissapointment...
I'd be satisfied if they make a good ending
...Emiya v/s Gilgamesh or to be more exact... Unlimited Blade Works v/s The Gates of Babylon :P And there is Rin + Emiya/Archer too... :D
Damn... I'll be dead with anticipation before the movie is released....

So basically it is like adapting the Anime Series into a movie ( Something like what they did with " Vision of Escaflowne" ).
Will watch this but frankly not surprised or eager to see this.
Of course if they make the ending different then it will be great.

They're not adapting the anime into a movie.
The anime covered a different arc of the game - different choices were made, more secrets revealed etc.

I love the fact were getting UBW route animated.
I just wish it wasn't just a movie but a whole new 26 ep anime series.
Oh well, can't have everything.
As long as they actually make it I'm happy. (still waiting for the gundam seed movie which supposedly should have been done in 2008)

You would rather a 26 epper than a movie?
There's a difference in quality, man!
They tend to put more "UMPH" into movies rather than anime - especially long running ones (due to budget of course)
I don't think a movie OVA like they did with Kara no Kyoukai would be bad either, though. Most people did play the game with breaks afterall...

I don't understand. I do know that it is a game so I expect there to be different endings but I thought there something like a canonical ending which was considered the intended one which was used for the Anime.

Rather than different endings, it's more like different stories with the same setting and characters, since each scenario go different ways pretty close to the beginning not the end of the story.

True, but a movie is unlikely to be longer than 3 hours.
I feel in a movie many things of the whole UBW story will be lost due to the length.
A series can take more time to keep in line with the original game story.
I would like to see every fight in UBW animated and every moment voiced and audible.
It's just that I don't think a movie will be able to really tell the whole story.

I think it can.
Remember that most of the text in the game are thoughts and descriptions, which can be easily covered by voices and art and thus cutting down time.
Also...It would be...insanely awesome if they fit at least one H scene in the movie >_>
