I get what you're saying, but Kakashi's death would serve no purpose whatsoever. Only ones who'll get hurt by it are the frantic fans. We already had a recent death of Jiraiya who was a more important character than Kakashi at the time, and actually had a relationship with the antagonist as Sensei-student.
If Kakashi dies next chapter, I would be all like; " 😕 ". So that would be the more unbelieveable choice. Not until he gets enough elaboration on his past and character, can he die. Or else the death itself would appear random and lose all of its credibility.

pretty much said it. first off, pain already killed jiraiya so there is already enough emotional tension between him and naruto (remember, this manga is suposed to circle around the orange ninja) so killing kakkashi now is pretty useless, furthermore doing it to protect chouji... nothing against the character, but he is a really side char, while kakkashi is debatable one of the main chars who can still give much to the plot, even dieing later, against some other foe...

I dont want Kakashi to die now coz he is one of the coolest characters in Naruto and for such a strong guy like him, to die in such a pathetic way just doesnt look right and he stll hasnt even met Naruto. I would love Kakashi to be alive untill he get to meet Sasuke.

i more or less couldn't agree more. if Kakashi was killed just like that, then it's just Naruto trying to be Gantz when it's not. i understand it's important to feel the characters mortality, but it's also important not to have pointless deaths as well. plus with popular characters, it's even harder to do something like that. if it's done poorly then it's going to make the mangaka lose some fanbase. it takes a lot of thought in how the death is going to be preformed, and how it's going to move the story. and if Kakashi did die right now, his death would have no impact whatsoever, it's only going to serve to enrage the readers.

Everyone has pretty much said everything I would want to say. If the mangaka randomly kills off Kakashi, even if he shows all of Kakashi's past experiences, its only going to piss off a large group of people. Seeing as though Kakashi has been there from the beginning too, it would be even worse than the killing off of fan favorites such as Deidara. I don't know, I think it would be pretty cheap to kill off Kakashi right now but I have no idea how he is going to make Kakashi come back from being at death's door either..

that would be epic. 🤣 his face has been hidden for so many years, it would be interesting for it to finally be revealed. i dunno what i'd do though if it did turn out he had the fish lips or buck teeth for real. 😛

If Kakashi dies, I am would loose a bit faith on the author. You cant kill a character coz u dont know wat to do next. Besides, we DO NEED another sharingan- now that Itachi is dead. If Sasuke dies somehow which he just might, then the whole concept of sharingan would be..well- gone
