Description
Ryu and Jay find a new companion in Hwa Ja, but not everyone approves of their friendship.
A 9-year-old boy stumbles into a house rumored to be haunted. Deep in the maze of corridors, he comes upon a young girl living alone. She asks "What did you bring me?" and with this chance encounter their relationship begins. Eventually, Ryu will unlock the mysteries behind the house and why it is truly haunted either by its troubled past or by the entities that may inhabit it.
Ryu and his friend Jay find a new companion in Hwa Ja, but find the scrutiny of the outside world harsh and cold. When his family moves away, Jay is left alone.
10 years later, Ryu is notified of Jay's death, and receives one final text message: "Don't ever come back." Despite the warning, Ryu returns for the funeral of his childhood friend, and eventually finds himself back at the house where it all began.

Yeah, this. It was okay.......I mostly enjoyed reading it, but a lot of it was really just the concept, a lot of details and (what should've been) important story content kind of just got glossed over/vaguely referred to/just forgotten about and never really addressed/explained.

Yeah, a great concept, but it really lacked in the actual execution of fully telling the story it had the potential to tell.

Sympathy vs Empathy.

This read is a good mixture of mystery, thriller, and even drama; you have either sympathy/empathy for most characters involved. Character buildup is rather rushed, but some ways, I didn't really mind it because there were a lot of time jumps. Almost makes me feel like whatever they've been doing in their separate lives were irrelevant, only until they come back to the same hometown.

What I absolutely love about this manhwa is the mixture of color blotches with actual drawn out characters. This is a MUST-READ for a good thriller and if you're interested in the evil of human behavior. The plot isn't straight forward yet somehow, it still grabs your interest and it makes you want to find out what happened to every characters involved. Absolutely gorgeous; the ending is very satisfying.

The decades spanning "romance" story is a somewhat straightforward supernatural murder mystery despite the time jumps and the frequent turns along the road. The narrative is pretty dark but not bleak and the length fits. The artist has good ideas regarding panel layout and the use of colors but his later works show a clear evolution. I can certainly see how this lead to the later Star Wars gig.

WHY ARE THERE NO REVIEWS YET?!
I started this series because I was curious at first. The cover artwork drew me in. It was sort of a slow build up until chapter 7..... After the realization of where this was going and when the plot revealed itself.......I was like "omg omg omg OMG OMG OH MY GODDDDD"
This is a dark tragedy that wil irk you like no other with a bit of mystery and supernatural stuff going on. The plot is quite heavy...
This is why I tend to stay away from psychological mangas/manhwas. It f*cks with the brain too much.

All in all, it was a good read! I'm happy I found it.
