Description
From Del Rey: Torn to pieces by a pack of dogs, young samurai Jintetsu's ravaged body has been found by Genkichi, outcast and master inventor. Genkichi gives the dead boy a new, indestructible steel body and a talking sword - just what he'll need to exact his vengeance. But what about Otsuki, the beautiful girl he left behind? Steel armor is defense against any sword, but it can't save Jintetsu from the pain in his heart.
Honestly, I was bored, bored, bored throughout the series. Yeah, there were some interesting scenes but overall, it was b.o.r.i.ng~~~. I had to force myself to finish reading it even though it was only 5 volumes long. The ending pretty much sucked too. As a slice of life type of manga, it isn't too bad. I guess it's understandable that it's seinen. But as someone who was looking for an action manga with a big plot, I was really disappointed. The stories were mostly separate from each other and Jintetsu never got a real ending. I was hoping the mangaka would let Jintetsu develop more and give us some more information about his background or what he accomplishes, but no. It's just one unrelated story after another. Hmph. In a nutshell, it was crap. Don't waste your time. There are better manga to read even if you're just trying to pass the time.
Like many awesome epic manga's, the story is interesting but the mangaka failed to complete it with a solid fullfilling ending. Jintetsu as a character really stands out. Read this manga and you wont be disappointed until you get to the end.
Ok, this isn't like Blade of the Immortal but it's up there to be considered as one of the best. i got completely addicted to this series and finished it in two days (which is rare). It boggles me how the rating can be so low for this series.
The character Jintetsu really makes the manga and the story really impressed me as one who like to read these kind of action samuari mangas. I really recommend this to anyone whos looking for good quality to read.
It is a nice manga with interesting characters and acceptable art. You could say it lacks of originality except for the two main characters but I don't mind, the manga is entertaining and nice for killing time. Only thing that that bothers me is that because of the short run there isn't a real main story just episodes and so there isn't a real "end".
Its a good action manga, but I have to object with the description of this series as a "romance". If this is so called "romance" then Bleach and Dragonball should be called a romance mangas as well...
Since its not the case, I think it would be better to remove label "romance" from it as there very obviously no romance (only few hints) in it, so that readers would not be deceived.
