Ono Natsume is amazing. Her art style is among my favorites because of its raw (almost surreal) quality. It's an acquired taste, but it really fits all of her stories. I've never really liked the ukes that look like girls or the overly buff semes, and here Ono Natsume makes her men look like real ones. Sort of like ones you could bump into any time on the street.
Also, the characters are amazing. Usually with yaoi, the storyline and the sex will randomly happen for the sake of happening, but here it all makes sense, because of the character personalities. Vittorio (is it weird that I find him more attractive than most other guys in yaoi?) is this crazy, weird guy who obviously is incredibly intelligent, but loves to live on the more dangerous side of life. It's sort of like he's masochistic. Armando on the other hand is your general by-the-book and moral human being. These two are close to being opposites. I find both very attractive, and they're both endearing characters.
Don't be scared off by the art, it's actually really nice once you get used to it. The story is excellent (I love how it's set in Italy) and the characters are amazing . For those of you who have read Kuma to Interi, you'll see some of the characters come up again like Faust. Overall, a fantastic read if you want a nice, realistic bl that shows real men having a real relationship.
PS: A big thank you to Stiletto Heels for scanlating this. My Japanese is so bad, I'm not sure if I read the last couple of chapters properly >.<

Laconic, beautiful and absolutely hopeless.
I become speechless seeing such dialogs:
"When a vacation is over and you are about to leave, you feel reluctant more than anything else. That's how I'm feeling"
"When just keep feeling that way. well, when I guess we'll stay as we've been, two guys who love movies...How boring"

Ok, to be honest i was going to stop on the first few pages because
lets face it, the art isn't exactly eye candy. But hell i was
listening to 2NE1's 'Ugly' and i realised at the end of the day,
it wasn't what the outside appearence that was important, but the
content of the story. And thus, i continued on with the manga.
It was easy to realise this wasn't a fluff manga, i mean,
sure it was the cliche bodyguard but he was guarding some
economist who didn't ever hire him himself which means
he wasnt
loaded nor was this some easy, sappy manga where the rich dude
spoiled his bodyguard but instead of these two quiet serious middle
aged men.
Theres also this thing where its set in Italy. I found the occasional
italian word quiet sexy and the fact that it wasn't set in Japan, one
of the safest places to live in the world, that made it appear more
realistic to me and allowed me to be sucked into the story.
Dayum, i guess i have a fetish for a seme with a beard.

This is hardly what I'd call your typical yaoi. The characters seemed plausible, and the art was gritty in an endearing way, furthering the sense of realism. I especially liked the political edge...all in all, not the sort of thing I'd usually read, but amazing in spite of that.

I love Basso a lot and it's so great to be able to read more of her works. This manga is awesome too ) The style is unique as always and the characters are somehow strange but interesting~

Yeah, it's pretty awesome. The style is very unique (both referring to the art, which is gritty but skilled, and the characters, who are all very sophisticated and wear trench coats and stuff).
