Aoi Spice, starts when young female student Ageha-chan meets popular idol singer Ren in the park where she works. But Ren, overdoing his look-how-evil-I-am mood, manages to handcuff her to him.
And then his dog eats the key.
Now the two of them have to live together until either they find a way to cut the handcuff's chain, or the dog...em...expulses the key. As hours pass, they become attracted to each other. Alas, everything has an end and they manage to get rid of the handcuffs...was that what they really wanted, after all?

Main story was interesting and fun. If mangaka carried the mood of the first vol till the end of the second, I think, nobody would have any comlaints. But like this it's ch.1-3 - fun shoujo(exciting fast pace love story), vol 2 - romance.Mangaka does a good job in using standard plot twists(rival, commoner-idol realtionship hardships), so it's not boring till the end.
Oh yeah, don't miss "kitty-cat" extra story - it's really good =^-^=.
I'd give it 10, if it 2nd vol was as exciting as first one. 2 vols was a stretch. sad

The art is great for a 1997 manga. Hmm, story wise, I feel that the last volume is great. It somehow triggered my heartstrings and there's the 'feeling' as I read.
Like feeling sad/happy for the girl...etc. Overall, it's a nice manga to read. ! =]
As for the oneshots, the story plot was okay. I don't really like them though...

i wish you could split up the volumes for ratings. But you can't. So i'll just say it here. I'll give an 8 for the first volume, and a 3 for the second. I hate that type of ending. Really a cop out. But, if you just read the first volume, it's really good.
5.5 overall.

I beg to differ with the ratings that the other people have given. I found that the story of this manga to be very good and the drawings are nicely drawn. This manga is a good read.
