If you're looking for interesting mysteries, don't bother reading this one. The "cases" seem like they were an afterthought to this series, although they should be the most important element, and most of the "solutions" can be shown to make very little sense after very little thinking.
If you're more interested in some pleasantly cliché romance, though, this is a fine read. The relationship between the characters builds realistically slowly and the love interest is more believable and likeable than the multitudes of princes and/or rapists in shoujo.
It's not worth buying, but if you pick it up from the library one afternoon with nothing else to do - well, your wasted time isn't worth killing yourself over.
Avid mystery fans should not be mislead by the promise of interesting cases; most of them are fairly ordinary, and are conveniently crafted to provide an interesting backdrop for the characters to work in. The focus is on the development of Lili and Hiromi and their relationship with each other, and albeit the typical 'childhood sweethearts' idea, it was done well and was really sweet. Loved them when they were little kindergarten buttons. The use of cute astral spirits, all with extremely different personalities, added a nice little bit of variety.
The art is typical, pretty shoujo art. The chibi astral spirits are particularly well-drawn; each have distinctive hairdos and outfits. Zodiac P.I. will make a nice, fluffy read that doesn't require your brain to be switched on.
~.0 the story is cute and so are the zodiac spirits... I like the story it's funny and nice.... hiromi and the allergies are cute hahahaha... I really love chibi... chibichibi!!! i just hope the ending would be more than that but i guess it's quite good also!! I recommend you read it!!!
i love astrology and what not, so that was a plus for me. it has adorable art and the cases are a bit shallow, but nevertheless interesting. a little brief/short for my taste.
also, i love Andou Natsumi's artwork in this, when in comparison to Kitchen Princess.
It's an okay manga, I guess, but if you were to rank this among other shoujo/mystery manga out there, it isn't the best. The story and the cases involved are so-so. The only thing that I admire is the artwork.
cute story!! >.< Almost like all the other shoujo mangas except it has a bit of a more mysterious storyline...... the art isn't my favorite, but the series was awsomeness and i recommend it!
A very cute manga! I read this a few years ago (the volumes have been completely released in English, find and read/buy them at your local bookstore xD). Very cute. Lili uses astral spirits that are released from her ring depending on which zodiac (airies, capricorn, leo, etc.) the suspects/victims of her case are. These little spirits appear as chibis and are simply adorable!! They also show evidence about the mysteries Lili attempts to solve.
this series has really cute chibi people and the outfits they wear are very pretty...it's also very clever and the story is fun~read it or die by chibi bloody murder BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
