Description

It's so bad compared to the prequel.... Now it's just sexual sexual sexual....
But actually though , what the heck did I just read and why did I finish this manga , it seemed as if the author forgot the first installment and tried to create a new series with more ecchi in the comedy , also , the " story" is either non-existent or just 🗿 even if its a slice of life one , also I keep questioning why the MC is still embarrassed by mere boobs when he got his V card gone 40 chapters ago , either way I guess the comedy makes up for it

I speechless this is a troll right? How did it turn into a borderline gag abuse hentai the first run was great this is just wrong....and those what 5-10 pages of real value are buried in trash with no light at the end of the tunnel just read the first series, possibly the start of this one and the chapter with gorou's sisters have a chat then be done with it....

It is painfully obvious that the second installment is just plain fan service and it kinda hurts that you notice that we won't get anywhere with the "romance". It's really just abusive now and Aneki has no sister moments anymore...it's just either a bad gag, sexual innuendos or abuse.

No, seriously. This looks like it's been done by a hentai author. I kid you not if you liked the first series then go back and re-read it. This is nothing like the older one. It's something else entirely and I'm sorry to say that it doesn't deserve to be called a sequel to it.
No. This is nothing like the first series other than having he same characters. The perversion is up by 5000%. Any subtlety or charm it had is gone. Its almost as if someone else was writing this with no knowledge of the first series. If you want a lot of perversion then go ahead. If you liked the first series, avoid this one.

I was stoked to see a sequel to Hoozuki-san Chi no Aneki when it was mentioned on Vexed's blog. I really loved that series back in 2009-2011. So I rushed over to dl chapter 1 of the sequel and read it.
And...wow
It is different.
First chapter upped the sex by a moderate amount. It starts off like the first series (for the most part) but mostly changes when the "+ Imouto" part of it comes in. This takes place about 2 years (I think) after the end of the first series, and the characters are older now. Still, I was quite surprised, for example it ends with a character saying "I came a little..." Earlier in the chapter,
But this was just the first chapter.
I held off commenting.
I wasn't sure how far it would go.
The second chapter really just ran with the sex. I mean, where the first chapter had one (maybe two?) sexual encounters, here they go a little crazy with it (though most is off-panel, as before). Aneki-Gorou, Aneki-Imouto (I don't really consider cousin-cousin to be incest, though. More like a pseudo-incest, especially as they see each other as sisters.)
I really just want to know what happened during those 2 years that made their relationship, personalities and attitudes change so much (thought his will probably never happen). Though considering the beginning of the first chapter, Gorou and Aneki's physical relationship had progressed but to a realistic degree during the first half...maybe it was simply the entrance of Imouto that brought out the sex to such a degree, which I guess would simply be poor writing on the mangaka's part. Even Misaki, in my opinion, has changed a bit too far. Mizuno is kind of the same, but still clearly different.
And then we see at the end that there's been a shitload of it off-panel that's barely been hinted at before.
This is just strange, as it's published in the same magazine so theoretically their target audience shouldn't have changed. But apparently it has.
As the translator said, it's got none of the cuteness of the first series. I'm enjoying it, but in an entirely different way.
EDIT: Maybe it takes place 3 years after... as it ended in 2011....Wait no. Gorou's still in high school.

Imouto just gives Gorou a blowjob out of nowhere and then is going to have sex with him but Aneki walks in and stops her, letting slip that they've been having sex.

Later, Aneki strips and tells Gorou to come have sex with her to get Gorou back from Imouto, though it's possible she wouldn't have followed through.

Any subtlety is gone. While the original definitely had absurd and sometimes rather crass humor...the characters were likeable. Watching the dynamics of their relationships play out was enjoyable; not so much anymore. Granted, this is my personal opinion...other readers' mmv.
tl;dr - I'm not liking this as much as the prequel.
Note: This is only as of 2 chapters. Maybe it will get better.
Update: Ok, as of 4 chapters...such completely disjointed story flow. I don't know what's going on with the writing. It's so random. And not in a good (entertaining) way. Too bad.
