The description above actually sums up the story pretty well. It's a really weird mish-mash of a whole bunch of ideas, settings, plot devices, mixed with a bit of fan service (which I could have really done without) and some fanastically detailed art. The whole time I was reading it, I was like "MIND BLOWN DUDE. MIND BLOWN." Seriously, you're reading this thing about something that looks an awful lot like a Faberge Egg (I think it was, but I read the original Japanese version and my Nihongo skills aren't great) and then suddenly dinosaurs come in, and you're like WHAT?. It's very noir, and it's got a lot of subtle things going on with all the references to various historical and pop culture things. It's brainy, but at the same time you get your dose of action (and fan service if you're into that stuff). And the art has this weirdo, surreal quality that's very detailed but you'll remember it for a while.

Read this if you're looking for something really out of the box, something brainy, and if you want something that really has a bit of everything from action to romance.
