Description
Kazuha Akiyoshi is the eldest of six children. Highly responsible and irresistibly cute, she is also something of a tomboy who never allows her softer side to show through –– until she meets Mizushima, the first guy to treat her like a girl. Kazuha has her first real crush; will it be reciprocated? Then there's Sugimoto, an older guy who wants to be an important part of her life — but he's the one who Kazuha hates more than anyone!

mediocre art but great story and characters by asianromance on September 10th, 2008, 1:52pm

This manga brings back fond memories. It was one of the manga that really caught my attention when I first started reading it. The characters were lovable and i loved how the manga paired the acerbic heroine with the cheerful hero. And the story doesn't try too hard to be engaging- it just IS! I've been waiting for scans for this manga for years. I hope someone picks up this project!

this series needs more love! by lys on May 5th, 2008, 12:14pm

Right now, this is my absolute favourite manga series. I love the characters dearly, and the story is really enjoyable to me. The main focus, of course, is on Kazuha and Sugimoto, but other relationships (between their circle of friends, coworkers, siblings, family members) are all explored and the characters grow as the series goes on. A lot of fun humour as well as sweetness. Though the story moves somewhat slowly, it's an enjoyable pace—developing the characters' lives around them (rather than just filling up pages with a random assortment of shoujo-cliché-moments). It's realistic and lovely.

The other two reviewers didn't like the art much, but Hidaka-sensei really is an awesome artist in my opinion. The style may not be everyone's favourite (and it's set about 8 years previous to the time it was written, so it does have a 90s look to it) but if you can get past that, she has a lot of skill (her drawings of hands are gorgeous! haha~), conveying characters' feelings through both their expressions and body language.

So please give it a try biggrin

Ugly Haircut by Darknemo2000 on April 27th, 2008, 8:58am

It is a nice story yet

Spoiler (highlight to view)
The haircut she receives in the middle of the violume made her look totally like a boy. And since I am not into yaoi (or something similar to it as a heroine looks like a boy) I find it UGLY.

5/10

Somewhere below mediocre by jadetine on March 18th, 2008, 3:36pm

3 chapters in and I still can't get over the weird art style. It's just not aesthetically pleasing. A little too much text, a little too messy, and no really lovable characters. Maybe good for readers who like age gaps and 1990s clothing (his Harry Potter sunglasses are silly).
