Description
From Udon:
Between one day and the next, inserting itself into reality at midnight sits the Dark Hour. Few know about this special time that separates humans from the dangerous creatures known as Shadows. It is here that a group of students finds the ability to summon their inner selves - their "Personas" - to do battle with the Shadows before they can consume the minds of humanity.
Based on the main plotline of the original release of Persona 3 with the inclusion of Chidori´s changed arc from FES.

For those who have a choice between playing the game and reading the manga, I would HIGHLY suggest playing the game, considering persona is a series where the player interacts and creates relationships with other people themselves I don't see the need nor point for a manga, its just far too linear and comical, the game is much, much better also because story wise their EXACTLY THE SAME, basically it all boils down to whether you like pre-set events in the manga or actually playing it for yourself and deciding what YOU want to do and HOW you want to do it, P3P is the way to go, besides by the time this manga ends you could probably have already beaten the game 3 times over (85+ hrs. On my first play through), your time would be much better spent by playing the game.

Hey, if you have not known yet, Persona 3 is going to become a movie later this year! ^_^ Not much info on both the exact release date, or about the movie itself, but from what I know is that the movie has been given the green-light.

I loved this manga, and the plot was incredibly interesting, occasionally funny, and even exciting... but it all went by too fast. Not in the good way, as in I was so into it it was over before I knew it--more like, it went so fast I kept thinking I was skipping something. Like I said, the plot is great, the characters (the ones they explained-like there was that one little kid that seemed like he popped out of no where) were very interesting and likeable, and the art is top notch quality, but the story wasn't developed fully. There were plenty of chapters where the action or conversation went at a good enough pace, but some of it flew by, just barely dipping its toes in the action, hop skipping from one scene to the next without really letting us process the information.
I kind of understand why this happened of course: when you translate a story from one medium to the next (video game to manga) it can be more difficult to fix the pacing you lose from taking out the long fighting parts and missions you can't include without making it boring. Also, there were a lot of time skips. I'm pretty sure we didn't even see all the main battles, but saw referenced a few fights we didn't see, which was confusing. I kind of wanted to see the main character be awesome more often. Cause he was awesome. Just mostly while we weren't watching.

Btw The MC need more personality, he's too quiet and plain.

In the game the main characters personality is completly left to the player and the mangaka failed to give his protagonist just remotely something like an own personality. He probably is he most boring and characterless protagonist ever portrayed in a manga. This ruins the whole story and all in all the manga.
Too much like the Game

Persona 3 is WAY too much like it's rpg game counterpart... It's not so bad at the intro, but by chap 5 or 4, everything goes wooosh!! and you're left going 'what the hell just happened?!?'. It's obvious that the author simply followed the game EXACTLY, and took no time to expand the story or introduce the characters properly or add depth to the manga... like when Junpei found out about his powers and everything, he hardly seemed suprised... and it was just one min he's juz an ordinary guy, and the nxt sec- ooh, look, he's fighting!? Norm ppl dun learn how to use a sword overnight...
Manga's are different from games, man, you cant do them exactly the same way! Or at least that's what I think.
The drawings are pretty good, though. Especially the coverpage pic, which was what made me pick this up in the 1st place...

Actually, you're wrong, StillCrazy. Ch. 3 is the end of Volume 1, not Ch. 2
As for why it's out of order, release-wise - When we started, no raws of Ch. 0, 1, or 2 even existed. So, we started with 3. When the tankōbon of Volume 1 was released, we went back and did 0, 1, and 2. With 0, 1, 2, and 3 completed, we're now releasing it in order.
Also. Ch. 3 onward are from Dengeki Maoh, the monthly magazine that the manga is serialized in. That's why the page numbers don't make any sense.

It's just Persona. SMT was added by ATLUS USA for noobs to the Megaten series.
The group who is doing the scanlation should release it in correct order because the page numbers does not make any sense (ie ch3 (previously released as ch4) is 101-137 and ch2 is last chapter od vol1). The new ch4 is page 87-121 and made it all even worse. It's simply all messed up as hell!
