Description
The story is about a man who is a medicine seller. He hunts mononoke (demons) and kills them by using a sword. However, before unsheathing his sword he first needs to learn of the form (katachi), the truth behind the human tragedies (makoto), and the reason behind the evils (kotowari) that gave birth to it before killing the demon.

Admittedly, there haven't been many chapters to judge by, so maybe I'll be proved wrong. Still, I stick by my opinion that the anime was infinitely better - the creative artwork, characterization and screenplay just blew my mind! Of course, it takes some getting used to, but if you're a veteran, you should like it immediately.

Wow! Finally, we can read this as a manga also ^_______^ I'm sooo happy that it's being translated from now on ^_^ The art is absolutely gorgeous, detailed and the characters look great. ;D The story is exactly the same as in the anime. This is a bit odd... but I hope there'll be more than just the stories that have already been revealed.
