Description
From Seven Seas:
During a fateful visit to Tsunojo Girls' School, Chika Matsusato meets the girl of her dreams--cool upperclassman Haruna Kanzaki. Even though they spent only one short day together, Chika will never forget Haruna's kindness, and has made it her life's goal to study hard and get accepted into Tsunojo Girls' School so that they can be together. But will Haruna share Chika’s feelings...?
Enjoyed this very much even tho you can see how everything will end when you start the first page (well... not like that but pretty close lol) at the end even the drama left me with a fluffy feeling and when i finished i felt full. Really the only complaint i can make is how predictable it is. that said its a light read if you want world changing inspirations out of what you read this is not for you.
The tagline for Hatsukoi Shimai in one volume of Yuri Hime was "the definitive girls' love manga". That sums up this series better than any other five-word phrase I can think of. There's every GL cliche you can think of here - impossibly gorgeous all-girls school, aloof long-haired beauty, cheerful pigtailed lead, Takarazuka dropout, heart-thumping unrequited love, utter purity. And all of it is absolutely delightful.
Hatsukoi Shimai is proof that cliche doesn't equal unreadable. Yes, every character is a straight copy of a type has been worn to dust, but they're all so likeable. Yes, every plot has been done thousands of times before, but it's all such fun. I did try to get myself to not enjoy this manga as much as I did. I tried to tell myself that it's really not a well-done series - because it isn't. But that didn't stop me from loving it to bits.
