Description
A Japanese student named Arisu gets on the wrong bus and winds up in some sort of homoerotic version of Lewis Carroll's Wonderland. The last thing you want to do in a land where people change shapes at the drop of a hat is to drop the soap and introduce yourself as Arisu (identical in Japanese to Alice), lest you start looking like one! And Arisu does, slowly but surely...

Seriously this is extremely funny. This should more be read as a surrealistic seinen work though, if you?re expecting shoujo fluff you?re gonna get disappointed. I really loved the art as well. Too bad it got discontinued. I wish there was more from this author, since it got a reissue in 2006 it can?t be a complete unknown person I guess.
What's listed as Volume 2 chapter 3 by Desert Bus scanlations is 2 chapter 7 in mine, as well as the final chapter. Chapters 4-8 of the scanlations don't exist in my version, meaning that I must have a 3 volume edition & am missing the final book
The men in this series Are reprehensible, especially the prince of hearts.
This can't be BL because no one believes Arisu is male, the prince loves & lusts after him as a woman, he even becomes a woman three times. There's busty naked women everywhere & homophobic womanizers like the prince spend their free time sexually harassing women.
So the first half comes off as a story about a gender-confused individual who develops stockholm syndrome for a man who repeatedly keeps trying to rape him/her while trying to get other women on the side.
Then it turns out he was a woman the whole time, & he stays that way till the very end.
Then he's a boy again in the final chapter, but it turns out that they're both mental patients who have identity crisises & don't remember eachother. They don't hook up, there is no male-male relationship, & the romance deadends.
The character development kept backtracking & no plot points were resolved & it leaves off on a nonending.

....I got so confused that I didn't know what I was reading. First chapter was interesting. After that, skimmed the rest. No plot, no character development, and storyline doesn't make sense. Not recommended to anyone who wants a good plot line to read.
Disgusting, there is nothing worthwhile in this. The male lead keeps getting pushed around and wearing dresses.

Needless to say I hated this. I would rate this -∞(it's just that bad).

Boy goes to wonderland. For some reason, he has crazy dreams after that, and the readers become unable to separate dream from reality. Arisu eventually gets breasts and loses his penis(if he ever had one....) and becomes a girl. His family forgets him, and there's a male Arisu in his/her place at his house. My theory is that when he went to wonderland, his identity split and eventually we are left with Alice and arisu. Arisu is male, and that family goes about their business. now, onto Wonderlands problems.... There's lots of Alice's. It's impossible for them all to be the same person... but I bet they'll end up that way somehow....
That is somewhat wierd... and confusing and hello yes. OH, right yeah. Plot varies chapter to chapter, there seems to be a somewhat overall plot as well, but its all a bit much to follow.
Its like someone wanted to fit all the different gender bending possibilities into one manga.

haha... I don't know what to think of this one....It is one of the wierdest and confusing mangas I have read, but I wouldn't say it was a bad story (just super confusing). The gender blender aspect of the story is also something extremely crazy, I honestly don't understand it.
This is not for the average reader since it is pretty convoluted and just plain weird. Hell, there doesn't even seem to be much continuity between chapters. If you are looking for the weirdest gender bender story you can find though, this series isn't a bad place to start. Out of all the "Alice in Wonderland" themed stories, this one does have more of the same bewildering feel of the original txt as opposed to the disney film or most of the TV adaptations.
