About the cheating
by HoshiSama

Rating: 5.0  / 10.0
People are being very harsh on Mamoru for cheating on Hiroki, and while I agree that cheating is bad we have to take into consideration that he was literally a teenager. If his habit persisted to actual adulthood then it would be unforgivable. The story leaves this ambiguous, which isn’t great. But it’s hard to hold someone accountable forever for the decisions they make a decade before their brains finish developing. Holding children (whether they are parents or not) to the same standards as adults is dangerous and problematic.

That being said this is still not one of my favorite stories. It is pretty melodramatic and not terribly interesting. At least it doesn’t employ some of the more classic bad yaoi tropes, so I don’t hate it. It’s the kind of thing that you could skip without any regrets.

I can't even believe this has high rating.
Maybe for the age it was created was good but come on!
The first story was mediocre.
The second one was the reason why I ended rating it like that.
The parent's story, they were lovers since they were young, the seme always cheated on the uke and that didn't change since the present day but the uke even knowing, he doesn't end the relationship. Like, for real? He even raised the child. I hate this uke. I hate the seme. I hate the bloody manga.
Okay this may be just an story, something fictional but dude this was just too much.

Im sorry but I just want to kill the dad right there. Usually a slap will do but not this time. U dont love him enough and u cheat on him again and again. Now he wants to go and u forced him to raise the baby that u got from ur affair? How cruel can u be? I bet all my money that the lip stain at the end (which they never explained) is from his cheating again. And if he cheats now, I dont give a heck if he loves Hiroki or not. He was a teenager, did stupid thing, I cant forgive him but I can see why. Now he has a son, and he still cheats? And his son is raised for 17 years by the one he cheated on? Sorry, but this guy deserves to go to hell. And the other guy doesnt have a backbone to ask him about this, and still horny enough to sleep with him. This kind of story makes me want to vomit.

Good!

I'm so glad there was more to these two than the prequel, because that just felt incredibly incomplete.
Here we have a nice little story, full of emotion, that can really pull you in!
I just adore the tension between the two of them, unspoken feelings that lead to much drama, and it makes my heart hurt a little to read it, because it's so bittersweet!
I'm not a fan of how they became aware of each other because it just seems too sudden and random, and here also are some very random events but altogether it's pretty decent.

I also really liked the story of Sou's father. If he cheated to create that baby, it would obviously be over 9 months in the past, and while we get no info on his cheating what-so-ever, I don't see him as an evil guy, and I really don't mind Hiroki getting back with him. Some people can live with their partner cheating, just cause I wouldn't do that, doesn't mean someone else can't do it either.
I like them as a couple and I'm just one huuuuge sucker for single fathers in yaoi manga!

All in all, a good manga and while it's nothing super special or unique, it's still worth the read.

I must say i prefer Hiroki and Mamoru's story, it's so twisted... i mean it takes a lot of effort to accept someone who cheated on you many times and even more to tag along with the fruit of one of those unfaithful affairs. It's pretty shocking that im saying this but i love Mamoru's possessiveness, specially when he says : "love is selfish" oh my!!! i would have hugged him so tight!!! i supposse i prefer this kind of love... you know not the altruist type where the seme lets go the uke for his sake so he can be happy with someone else. Uhmmm but there's the lipstick on Mamoru's shirt issue, that means he hasnt changed completely but still love Hiroki? well, maybe the mangaka have left it there for us to judgebiggrin

I really enjoyed this one. It was a lot better than Itaike na Bokura, and gave you a bit of Mamoru & Hiroki's story. The way Mamoru is reminds me a lot of how my father used to react to the idea of me finding a guy that I would date (by the way, I am a girl). I feel kind of bad for Hiroki since he still feels a bit uneasy about Mamoru's faithfulness, or lack thereof. The end was really funny as well as a ton of little jokes here and there throughout the volume. Anyway, I really enjoyed it! :3

Mamoru x Hiroki story was love

Spoiler (highlight to view)
The story about Mamoru and Hiroki was the best!!!! I'm so glad she added that. It was bitter and sweet at the same time. I wish the prequel was about their story instead, that would've been awesome. I applaud Hiroki for forgiving Mamoru..what's more he even agreed to raise Sou. That's true love right there! And unlike other semes that cheat and get away with it easily I'm glad Mamoru agonized about it to the point that he looked more pitiful.

Now regarding the main "couple" (not sure if they even are). I'm sorry I just hate Sou. I never disliked an uke so much. He doesnt deserve Keigo at all. Keigo's too light on him. When Youko compared Sou to how Hiroki was when he was younger, I totally disagreed. Sure the crybaby part might have been a resemblance but Hiroki wasn't that stupid and unfair. Infact, I think Keigo resembled Hiroki more..and a bit of Mamoru. Sou felt to me like some selfish snotty uke who keeps taking Keigo for granted. I really wanted Keigo to disappear for a while so he'd learn his lesson. Like the way Mamoru desperately tried to get Hiroki back. He was just damn right annoying..the way he acts, talks..everything. Gah, like some shoujo manga girl.

Anyway, I'm glad there's a sequel cause the ending wasn't satisfying. Especially the issue about the lipstick on Mamoru's shirt...waahh !!! even though Hiroki convinced himself that it was nothing, I'm not convinced. Seriously, I want an entire manga about them!!

Like I wrote in the title, this manga is amazingly cute. You can't hate the character's personalities and even the female characters are strong and loveable.

Even though there isn't much "yaoi action" it makes you laugh and the characters are really interesting.

And the art is beautiful, I couldn't stop staring at it. Believe me, the cover art is misleading, the art inside is way prettier.

I really recommend this manga and hope you love Sou, Keigo, Hiroki and Mamoru just as much as I did. smile

Story Line Unique
by MightyMaeve
November 15th, 2009, 4:21am
Rating: 9.0  / 10.0
The relationship between the two boys is very sweet and not about raging, rushing, uncontrollable sex hormones. ("Why don't we just hold hands while we sleep?") The fathers have a more 'adult' relationship shown, but the entire story is more about family and love than the actual sex act...although there is a particularly good scene of the dad and his partner...

We return to Keigo and Sou's story: Keigo doesn't believe Sou really likes him the way Keigo likes Sou. We never reach the point where they come to a 'deeper' relationship, but then that may be in the third story, Furachi na Bokura.

The angle of the parents was quite refreshing: The father's dislike for the son's gay feelings are well explained as we learn his back history with his partner.
The back story itself was unique in the yaoi world--dealing with teenage fatherhood.
