Nanase, a beautiful young telepath, returns to her hometown to settle down and lead a quiet life. However, her unique abilities make that impossible--even in the most remote location. Then she meets Norio, an abused little boy with extraordinary powers of his own. Nanase takes him under her wing, and from there they wander...two outsiders traveling from one strange encounter to another.
I don't know how to feel about it actually. A part of me liked the ending; thought it was appropriate, but a part of me also wanted them all to be alive. This manga explores the side effect of having such a gift like telekinesis, telepathy, and precog. At least for me, I think these gifts are fantastic and wonderful, but there are bad side effects to having these powers too -- "curse." It's more realistic in a way because it doesn't sugar coat anything.
The plot is sort of ...shallow. It didn't look very well planned out in that the characters aren't that developed--or just not that complex. The organization that supposedly hunts the supernatural people with special abilities was shallow; there is very, very little we know about them. I wish there were more characters.
There were loose ends at the end of the manga. It has a lot of potential to be a long, good, and complex series.
Overall, I didn't regret reading it, but I was not fully satisfied with the ending.
well, its barely fine. what i found lack, surprisingly, is dramatization. sure the manga has many inner thoughts exposed. many dangerous situations occurred. many misfortune befallen. but that alone won't make it a good drama. not very enjoyable ride.
I totally enjoyed the story and actually liked the entire cast and especially how Nanase kept discovering more about herself as she met others.

About the ending: I thought it sorta suited the story 'cos it was most likely bound to be a tragedy where the entire main cast died out and I didn't think there was any need to emphasise that fact and drag out the melodrama. And we already get the hints from the "time traveller" that the ending isn't anything but fun and the sense of foreboding throughout the last few chapters: the climax of the journey of a bunch of "survivors" in a society which can never accept them.
The only problem was that I wished there'd been more to this story and more characterisation about some of the characters. Other than that, this is a really good story.
I very much enjoyed this series... right up to the end. Unfortunately, the ending sucked so bad, it made me want to chuck the entire series out the window. And believe me, I'm more than okay with tragic/sad endings - if they fit the series and make a statement. This one... was just depressing and pointless.
Of all the characters, only ending for Norio and Henry are unclear. Okay, pperhaps ending for Henry is clear, but how about Norio?!
For you fans who are worried about the unavoilable "powerful ending" out there, I think you have no need to be. But be warned that this manga follow "gloomy" path, so it's depressing toward the end.
Damnit! And I so hope otherwise in the 3 volume for them. Minus one point for the ending.
I loved the art and the story was good, with psychics the plot usually revolves around them growing all powerful or something like that. But this story has the powers seperated into all those categories we've read/seen before. I think that this allows more characters into the story since one character can't become omnipotent and needs to depend on others. I wish this series could have gone for a few more volumes because the ending just felt...bad..? I don't really know how else to explain but it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, reminds me of a Shakespearean play.
