Description
From ShoujoMagic:
There's a rumor that high school freshman Aki is involved with Masanari, a candidate for student body president next term. Aki thinks of Masanari just as her best friend, but to make sure of the matter, Masanari's younger twin brother Naoya appears! Aki begins to be seduced by Naoya's forceful manner...
Then one day, Masanari collapses. When Aki goes to wish him well, she's relieved to see that he's okay. While she's there, though, Naoya asks her out on a date, and he's being much gentler with her than usual. Aki musters up her courage and tries to tell Naoya how she feels, but not only does Naoya do an about-face and command Aki to date Masanari instead, but another girl confesses love to Naoya right in front of her!? What's Aki going to do...??

i felt absolutely NO connection with the characters. i guess i was supposed to feel sad during that one part, but i wasn't.. not really happy during parts where i was supposed to either. (too lazy to go into detail, since i have to put spoiler brackets. not worth it.)
it seemed every moment was a cliche, and very predictable, and full of a lot of "coincidences".. kinda. when it wasn't predictable, it was too abrupt and too anti-climatic. ... i actually think i laughed at a few moments that were supposed to be inspirational..
i'll give it a 5, benefit of the doubt. it wasn't really that boring, i have read much much much worse. the guy wasn't the pusy sex crazed guy that i thought he would be. and was a lot less callous than the usual male leads. (an improvement for me in regards to Shinjo Mayu's later works). and the art isn't bad to me. in fact, i like how she drew the female lead in this. in her later works, i hate how she draws females. they're so gross and childish looking. bleh. she should've just kept with the same style of female.. why'd they get so bad?? ><
There were better ones of her works (but still I think the same as Takiko about the rest). The so called 'plot' was so booorrriiing I just had problems with reading first chapters and it didn't got much better till the end of 1 Volume (I couldn't force myself to read 2).
i like her newer works better this was just mediocre ... i only finished it becuz i finish all manga's i start (wishfull thinking) and so mostly it's a waste
It wasn't bad. Just a little generic, and not as smutty as some of mayu's other works. The male lead looked exactly like Sakuya (kaikan phrase) but wasn't nearly as cool.
It's an early Shinjo Mayu work, so it's average. Her other works tend to be better in tends of art and character and story, especially her more recent ones.
