It's Back!

As an old retired guy who likes manga that bears some relation to real life, I'm not finding much to read these days. To me, far-out fantasies and reworking of cliche story styles just aren't interesting. I guess I'll have to move back to reading novels soon.

But it's hard to leave because every once in a while I find a manga like this! It's a simple story of a hyper-shy girl who becomes a waitress to put herself in a position where she has to overcome her fear of speaking to strangers. Could turn out dull, huh? But she gets involved in some surprising events! And because she's drawn and presented as an earnest, serious everyday girl, these little dramas, some of which are really pretty far out, take on a welcome air of reality, and identifying with her emotions as they play out is easy. I'm having a good time with this.

I first checked this manga out first several years ago and was sad to see it make no progress for years. My thanks to Habanero Scans for resurrecting it!

From the few chapters that i could read i think this series is pretty good.
Hitoshi Iwaaki is a good mangaka, the drawings are old style but i like them a lot, and he's also a good storyteller.
It's a shame this series doesn't get more attention, because i like the feel of it.
