This 1 had a nice story to it. Yes, it's been done before, the servant and master thing. But, that's ok. This mangaka has done French Revolution themes before, and well. The characters are enjoyable and the story has a good pace. It isn't as good as her other work with a French Revolution theme - Gerrard & Jacques. Still, it's a good read, and I reccomend it. I have read a lot of her works, and find her works to be generally worth reading/buying.

Unfortunately I had some high expectations for this after reading Gerard to Jaques (from the same mangaka) but unfortunately, this manga lacks story. It's historically set for a change, but that's really everything that made it a little interesting.

There are a lot of fluffy moments in the "story", which made it a letdown for me but some people might enjoy it for it.

Its quite easy to see why someone would not enjoy this story, but its just as easy to see why someone would love it. If you've read a lot of yaoi and BL, a lot of manga really, you start to realize that like most everything else these stories are all very similar.

This one is no different really. The art might be considered a mess by some, elegant by others. I personally love this story, and this mangaka. If you like history and you're looking for something else besides the shoujo bubbles that surround a lot of our beloved BL, this might be nice breath of fresh air.

Keep in mind its nothing different, or out of the box. This sort of story has been told numerous times in many different ways. Its just another retelling. But one I think is lovely.
