Everyone is this manga is awful....

except the main guy and he's a total douche.

Seriously, while the main guy is constantly angry, considering what happens to him it's not surprising.

The main girl is half terrible. She wants to help people, but doesn't think of the repercussions of her actions.

Worst character was the main guy's brother. He never thought about the problems his actions would cause.

typical shoujo

It was funny. however the characters leave much to be desired. The elder brother doesn't have a backbone, nako pokes her nose into others' business to much, her sister is the typical goody two shoes. I could go on.. My favourite character would definitely be Buu-chan. loved her. Also i would have liked to know what happened to their debt.

So basically what i am saying is that this manga is suited for people who are looking for a light, funny read which doesn't have much in terms of plot or character development.

its definitely interesting. i usually don't like dumb types (unless its the result of some kind of illness) as hero/heroines and i still don't like this main heroine too but she kind of grows onto you. Story-wise , art-wise its satisfactory all around. When you have some time check this out i think it has the potential to be liked by most shoujo lovers. if i have to make a complaint it would be its too much predictable, after the first chapter i felt like i could already see the ending, still this manga left me with a good feeling when i'm done so i'm ok with the things as they are. its also good its not too long that would have killed the story and make it boring.

Stop comparing it to LC!

Seriously, how can can anyone expect a simple 3 volume series like Nanaco Robin to be on par with something as long as LC, where there was plenty of time and space for development? It's unreasonable and unfair to the author who's doing her best to produce a simple, refreshing read to feel good about. Has she achieved that? Yes indeed!

I love the characters. Nako is extremely strong and courageous, not to mention utterly hilarious with her antics. Although it backfires at times, she does her best to support the people she cares about. A very likable and fun heroine.

Then there's Konatsu, our hero who's so adorably Tsundere. Although he doesn't admit it, he truly cares for Nako and his friends. He's sincere and a good person. Very lovable and swoon-worthy.

Add in a vibrant supporting cast, crazy situations, a nice amount of character development and hilarious comedy and you have Nanaco Robin! A good story. Not as good as LC due to the few number of volumes but I believe it had the potential had it gone on longer. My few peeves with this is the ending and Konatsu. The ending was really rushed and kind of axed in my opinion. We needed more Nakonatsu lovey-doveyness and a few questions answered. Another thing which bothered me was the fact that Konatsu, never once called Nako by her name. I mean not even her last name! It was always "you"!

Other than that, it's a good refreshing read. Don't go into it expecting LC levels of awesome because it will disappoint you. It's a lovely, cute and delightful read otherwise. Well-done for a short manga.

not bad but disappointing...

In terms of shoujo manga in general, this isn't bad. It's a typical story, with a typical plot, predictable storyline and ordinary, typical and predictable characters. If you are looking for a decent shoujo that isn't brimming in lameness and prince charmings, this is a good one. Plus it's funny. I gave it an 8/10.

However! If you're like me and you have read Lovely Complex, then this is reallyyy disappointing. i know i shouldnt compare it to LC BUT I CANT HELP IT! Sooo compared to LC, NR is super ultraaaa disappointing! Especially how it ended... =_= it was funny but not HALF as funny as LC. the characters and plot aren't HALF as interesting and unique as LC...and NR isn't half as memorable as LC.

But NR isn't bad, seriously. Just don't expect it to be on par w/LC in any way or you'd end up disappointed like me and a bunch of other reviewers here.

Honestly I wasn't expecting much except a bit of comedy, and that's exactly what this manga delivered. I wish we had more scenes between the main couple, there were a lot but it seems like the way that they fell for each other could have been developed more (like in Lovely Complex), otherwise, it's a very heartwarming manga because everyone in the manga is bubbly and cute! Even the "villains" haha

The book was great biggrin
I absolutely loved this short-three volume series. As usual, we have our naive female lead and a male lead who cannot express his feelings to well. But in the end we got a very nice ending. Though, I don't know if Nakahara sensei thought this pairing through or anything, because female lead and the male lead getting together is kind of weird since they're now cousins after the marriage of the brother and sister...Well, on the bright side, she might be supporting incest biggrin

I just couldn't bring myself to like it. I love the author's other works. I could only go up to chapter three on this one. Although the main girl was strong, she didn't appeal to me much. I felt sorry for the guy though; he really is misunderstood. Nevertheless, if this type of story appeals to you, then go right ahead =)
