| what's up with the ending? by xcompulsion on June 25th, 2009, 8:36am |

i was quite enjoying the first few chapters, without all the drama, the crying, and it was just clean and simple, yet hilarious. and to be honest, i wasn't really sure where the story was heading most of the time. and that was good, because that just created an unexpected twist, like a mafia's son falling for a nerd. but somewhere in the middle of the series, i lost whatever interest i had built up from the beginning. what kept me going was basically, the need to finish what i started.
i loved some of the characters, and didnt like some as much. some were interesting, while others were just.. drama queens. and the ending, oh dear god. the ending was the most disappointing! there were so many unanswered questions, it was incomplete, and that was just horrible when i got to the last page. it left me feeling like i wasted my time.
BUT. i'm not saying dont give it a try, i loved it, but im just disappointed. the author definitely could have improved the plot a little better, and the characters. so if you have time, and the patience... give it a go. |

If you like guys acting like thugs, and girls loving them. Then this is a story for you. If you like guys who treat girls like crap, then this is the story for you. If you like your characters to be decent, good people with interesting stories, then this is definitely not the story for you.
What it comes down to is, girls fall in love with losers who treat them like crap. Thats the story. But apparently we're supposed empathize with them, and like them. Only one of the pairings in the story was decent. Other then that, all the characters just made the story a drag.
As I was reading this, I was thinking what would make this a good story. If when the girl confronted the loser-boy who stole her bag, and when he threatens her like the thug he is, she calls the cops, and gets him arrested, or beats the crap out of him like he so desperately deserves. Now that would have made this a good story. Rather then another pathetic girl falling in love with a violent thug, a tough girl making a violent thug fall in love with her, and making him beg to allow him in her life. Now that would have been a good story. Regrettably, this author of this story wasn't as gifted as I am in making this up. Basically this manga has good art, with a crappy story. The only other thing it has going for it, is that the story is complete. Unless you are really desperate to read a finished manga, give this one a pass. Its just not worth your time.

I personally think that its not good at all. The storytelling style leaves me hanging too much and it doesn't attract me. The plot, the characters----all boring. Nobody stands out, no one is quirky or cool... SO BORING. =_=; |

Okay, so the ending was rushed. The first few chapters were so amazing though! I loved how it changed from person to person all through out the manhwa.... until the very end when it was all Myunga. But even that wasn't bad!
There's only one question I have......
Why didn't Taek Gang ever give Haha back her purse? What a jerk! |

In that the ending felt rushed; all the couples except for Hanako's seemed to get together in the matter of seconds. However, overall I thought it was pretty good. It actually had a credible and interesting storyline, something not often found in modern-day shoujo's, and the art was superb. I'll be looking forward to more of this mangaka's work!

| loved the manhwa by LTHL on February 28th, 2009, 8:41pm |

I wish I could read manhwa like this... this manhwa was really good but I agree with other people that the development wasn't that deep. The relationship between Hanako & Hong Soo is very random... I don't understand how they fell in love. It's very unrealistic in my opinion. Anyway, i hope manhwa are like this and more indept compared to H2O.

I picked this manga with not much of an interest and I ended up loving it. Some scenes are just hilarious and you never get bored. The only thing I didn't like was the end, it was rushed and the main couple's ending was just..bleh
Even so, it's a story that you'll surely enjoy.

sorry, but the manga really sucked. the first few chapters were a bit interesting but after that i didn't like it. i guess it was because of the plot and character development that really disappointed me. i just kept reading and wondered when it was going to get good, but it never happened. as far as the romance goes, it was annoying and stupid (excuse me if you think so otherwise) i liked the apple part though lo0lz

| Unexpectedly good by atomdreamer on January 18th, 2009, 1:59pm |

I wasn't expecting much of this one from reading the summary, or even from the first chapters, since the beginning was kind of slow and boring. But surprisingly, it began to impress me more and more as it went on. Menga went from being dull and wimpy to someone I could relate to, Hanako from annoyingly chirpy to a character with a lot of emotion and depth, and Choi Taek Gong or whatever his name was totally grew on me. I have a weakness for those bad-boy-but-not-really-bad-hearted types. The other two guys were sort of blah, but they served their purposes in the plot.
Anyway, there's just something about this manhwa. It's really funny at parts, yet also can be very melancholy and deep. I liked the slice-of-life vibes I got from it; like everything that was happening could really happen in real life to someone, and that they would feel what the characters were feeling. Also, unlike most manga/manhwa, I actually thought that the things the characters said were things that might really be said by people in their position; the dialogue wasn't weirdly poetic or too "quotable", but it was still meaningful and insightful.
I actually really liked the ending. Maybe it was a bit abrupt-seeming, but everything was tied up so it wasn't out of place. Also, I loved the final, brief scene - the way the characters interacted surprised me for some reason, but it made me feel happy.
Anyway, I'm not usually a big fan of manhwa, and the art here wasn't my favourite, but I loved H20: its characters, its atmosphere and its surprising depth of humour and drama. Give it a try; it's well worth the time.
