Description
From Shoujo Manga Maniac: Mei Shinonome always has this dream. When she was younger and lost her way in a dark forest, she sang her favourite song, "Mei-chan's Butler", to build up her courage. Suddenly she was lifted up by a man who said he was her butler. Now she can't remember what he looks like, but remembers his shimmering brooch and long slender fingers. Kento Shibata is a pretty boy who, along with everyone else in the class, doesn't believe Mei's dream was once real. Emiri Enari has a crush on Kento and looks down on Mei as her father is a noodle chef. How will Mei find the butler from her dreams and will she get everyone to believe her?

only eye-candy art is interesting. I like the butler, but all the situations, girl's behavior- it's not romantic! it's not even corny. totally cliche, in addition- boring and tacky. and it's not even a little bit funny... my opinion is harsh, couse I was expecting something better. ART IS NOT ENOUGH!!!!

I hate how you people keep rallying for the other guy. I LOVE THE BUTLER. Can I just say I have yet to see one good smut scene despite the genre setting as smut. Its okay NOT to have it but don't LIE to me... Definitely no Love Monster thats for sure. |

I'm not even going to wait till i've reached chapter 61 before commenting. The artwork is the only thing I don't have any problems with. Definite eyecandy in this manga. ^^
But as for the rest... The story starts off ok, even if many may find it a little cliche. Spoiler (highlight to view) Character development... Well, the characters in this story bounce back for emotional turmoil/trauma far too quickly, apart from Lucia of course... The thing I can't stand is how the main character continuously fawns over Rihito even after everything Kento sacrificed for her. During the process of reading this manga, I've no idea whether to yell at Mei for her thoughtlessness, or pity Kento for his unrequited love towards Mei.
This manga has some really great comedy scenes and the artwork alone will definitely leave you wanting for more. But if you are looking for stories with depth and proper character development, there are better mangas out there for you to read.

The livedrama is better... (i only started reading the manga because of the drama..) They made Kento a noisy and annoying character in the drama..so i dont mind Mei going with Rihito...
but in the manga!! Kento is so sweet whereas Rihito says stuff that is just plain stupid and corny. i mean, he says things like: "Let me accept all of your tears" with a smiling 'tender' face...And then Mei jumps into his arms....(*shivvers*) ..... isn't that just.......a bit..........too corny? (._.); ...anyway, From the story so far... i have a strong hunch that the mangaka is going to leave Mei with Rihito =_=; Even though Kento tries his very best, Rihito gains favour just because of his looks and mysterious aura. Kento isn't even given a chance, lol....and that is just hateful. Such a sterotypical pairing. ugh.
I give 2 for the pretty art.

| This is a really good read so why all these nasty comments..? I didn't find it that cliche and I think the story is pretty good and original ( I read some bishie bulter stories already...), It's funny and gets even more intersting with each chp upload. Who cares who she ends up with... The posted chp.s are only a few compared to the whole story, I'm sure many things will happen so stop nagging and keep reading. She still has to become a 'Lady' so she'll probably get older and I don't think she's stupid! She's honest and has a different way of looking at things and she got 3 highest mark in class lol. She's not noticing Kento, who cares, maybe she will who knows... Let's just keep reading |

I am frustrated with the heroine. She only ever looks at the black-haired butler, who seems so perfect in her eyes, while she has the younger brother who has a one-sided love for her. Kento's done more for Mei than Rihito. He even went to England to train himself to become the perfect butler just for Mei and look, he even
Spoiler (highlight to view) received the title of duke
Mei is too infatuated with the mysterious/dashing/calm/cool butler. It's your standard cliche -- girl pines for cool guy while childhood friend who can give all the love she wants is there all along; childhood friend gives up his love, etc, etc...Though it's still early to tell if Miyagi Riko decides to have Mei end up with the dark-haired butler. I just wish Miyagi Riko would change her style. |

The manga is a standard fish out of water thrown into new school with super competent/hot guy as her support. (So yeah Love Monster and just about every butler comedy every. Why are manga butlers nothing like their rl counterparts?) The heroine's a plucky idiot, her love interest is standard issue tall/dark/handsome/mysterious, and there's the barely legal (she's 13) angle to give it all a creepy factor. The only thing keeping me interested are the side characters, which are stock but differentiated enough to stay interesting. The hero's angsty spoiled younger brother keeps the love triangle palatable by not being totally unsuitable and raising some questions on the hero's motives. (The cliches are so rampant I've started a scorecard on which guy will get her based on how many checkmarks he fulfills.) A horror loving 5 year old super genius and a psychotic princess and her equally menacing butler add nice flavor to a cast that otherwise looks like looks like every other one for manga of this sort. There are the perquisite mean girls, suspicious girl, and trashy girl with a heart, and "wth? are they really adults?" characters. |

I love Miyagi Riko's works. This one especially. The drama is really good (Hiro Mizushima xDD) and the manga is a really cute read. Yeah, even though it's pretty unrealistic but it's a SHOUJO.
The summary has pretty much NOTHING to do with the main plot.
Veeeery very nice artwork (;
