Description
From Shoujo Manga Maniac:
The main character is named Hikaru. She misses her dead brother and speaks to him in her mind as she begins her first day of high school. Here she has many ordinary adventures.

She becomes fast friends with a girl named Nene, who lets nothing stand in her way and pushes Hikaru to kiss her new crush, Michiya, who reminds her of her brother. He lets her kiss him, which as it turns out is not a good sign. He seems to be a jerk, whose personality is nothing like Hikaru's brother's.

Michiya's best friend Jun warns Hikaru ahead of time. Later, Hikaru finds out the bad side of her new friend Nene. When Hikaru understandably gets upset about this, Nene gets angry at her and tells her to find another friend.

The story had much more potential than it got. The characters stayed undeveloped and flat right till the very end. Actually they got flatter with every page. The main heroine is dumb. Like. Really. Her personality (wait, personality?) made me laugh 2 or 3 times but the rest of the time I just wanted to kick her ass. Others charas were much more interesting but they barely got screen time.
Story stayed undeveloped as well. I won't even mention the end.
The picture sequence was kinda hard to follow too, it just didn't flow... It was like the author was thinking of something entirely different while working on this manga. Completely different from Aishiteruze Baby which evean now is one of my top titles.
I give some points for the art itself though.

this one is very strange it seems incomplete . The characters' feelings aren't clear AT ALL . To me,it seems like the story was left unfinished. The ending is so bad. Do not read this one unless you have some time to kill.Seriously the main character is always crying , she's so annoying . So yeah , this one is not so good.

When I started reading it and the main female character changed the guy she liked ever so suddenly I started to not like this manga very much, but I kept on reading all the same. I don't think this is a good manga at all... the characters are very shallow, the story is not very good and there is no real ending since it just finishes at some random point. The ending feels like the mangaka was planning on continuing the story but she was forced to stop it there.

I wouldn't recommend this manga, even though the art is very pretty, there are much better two - volume shoujo mangas out there.

Worse than cliche

Oh god, this was worse than Sakuragaoka Angels. The story was awful and when I say that I mean it was written very poorly. It had potential, but as soon as I got deeper into the second volume it went downhill from there. The main character is off in la-la-land and in the worst way I've ever seen in a shoujo. Why was the second volume even published? I'm sad because the art is nice and the mangaka's other works are charming, but this one bites. A lot.

The manga starts out with your average pretty looking shoujo girl (Hikaru) getting ready for her first day of high school. She immediately spots a guy (who looks like her dead brother) and develops a crush on him. She makes friends with someone called Nene, who seems to shoplift.

Later on that same day, she meets her crush again, and her friend Nene out right tells him that our heroine likes him. What does he do? He kisses her of course, to toy around with her feelings. Hikaru is overjoyed of course and wants to go steady with this stranger. Later on they meet again and she tells him she wants to go steady. He rejects her because well, they're strangers. She calls him a pervert, and does a face-heel-turn, and falls in love RIGHT AFTER HAVING A CRUSH ALREADY by the guy that comforts her and tells her to stay away from that pervert.

None of these characters are entertaining or worthwhile or even developed. Hikaru is the faceless shoujo girl who cries about every other panel, has to get bishies to save her ass (because it's dark and she can't walk home alone!) and seems to fall in and out of love very easily. She constantly worries about her crush liking someone else and bawls about it. She's so shallow and one dimensional; just like every other shoujo heroine (but at least they get well developed later on).

The other bishy guys are one dimensional too. Everyone seems to like Hikaru for some reason, but they're so shallow and lie all the time that they really look stupid after a while.

The art is shoujo pretty, which in my own personal opinion is disgusting. I hate the fact that Hikaru looks just like the rest of the shoujo girls and the mangaka takes no effort to differentiate her from the crowd. Sparkling big eyes that look like every one else's eyes in the manga; check. Dense/goofy kind of look on her face; check. Groovy modern detailed hair; check. Cute school uniforms with a ridiculously short skirt; check.

Really, was the mangaka forced to draw the most generic manga ever?

No one should read this unless you LOVE reading the most clichéd, generic looking manga ever that doesn't even seem to have a story.

Ending was truly shattering. Not to mention totally ambiguous. But I suppose I shouldn't "see the forest for the trees". Wholly, it was very entertaining and wonderful. I really loved Jun. It's unfair to leave it like that. But I'll just make my own ending, Jun. Maybe that was the author's wish anyway, she couldn't pick just one.

It had a nice "slice of life" plot, but the manga could have carried it out better. It was if the mangaka was new to this, because the panels were confusing where it went from one scene to another so suddenly.

The art is very nice. It would be nice that the manga went deeper into the characters' lives, because their looks were detailed, and personalities were as well for Jun, Miki, Hikaru, Danchi, Nene, Ogura and Amine. I was expecting more from Jun, Miki and Hikaru when it came to family and love drama.

The ending wasn't really an ending. I'd say that it would have been a nice plot twist to begin digging deeper into Jun's family. Instead, it took a quick ending. It would be a nice ending if it were a one-shot, but not for a series. It had a nice future for the manga, but, unfortunately, it ended, and not well.

I would recommend it to read, but not as a top fave manga.

HMMM it had a lot of potential in the beginning made it seem like some thing interesting would develop..yet it falls flat, the characters are suppose to have depth yet don't the men in the manga are confused and makes it difficult to understand who you should be rooting for, its a real shame as its got some gorgeous artwork and a great premise. The ending well can it even be called an ending? nothing definitive happened in the manga therefore nothing can really end. Either way its a bit of a waste of time I would only read this to study drawing and to see how a manga should not be constructed.

it's was ok..i don;t think it was anything special. At one point I got a little confuse due to many characters at the beginning. I really don't like the ending. Overall, it was not bad
