Description
Roots of A is essentially a manga short featuring Akiyama during his senior year of college. In it, Akiyama and four of his classmates are taking a criminal psychology course and given an assignment where they must construct a profile of a person based on a letter they sent. This outcome of the assignment, plus what the professor says afterwards, is what prompts Akiyama to enter grad-school and continue to study psychology.

It's Okay by calstine on November 13th, 2009, 9:05am

...just about sums up what I feel towards this manga. For a single volume, it isn't so bad; but considering that this is a work by the author of Liar Game (my favourite psychological manga), I was expecting better. The stories had pretty predictable plots- especially the last one about the confused couple... And I didn't like the fact that 'Forbidden Divination' ended without even giving us readers a hint on what happened to Asuka Kiryou , and why the blond woman was so interested in him.
The one-shot on Akiyama was good though- nice if you're interested in what he was like back in the day when he was still an idealistic young man fresh out of college.

So far so good. by krytorii on November 8th, 2009, 4:25pm

I've read up to chapter 8, and so far it all looks good. Only 1 chapter on Akiyama though, it's more like a series of unrelated one-shots.

Art style is the same as Liar game, and the short stories are different to the liar game layout, but are pretty interesting.
