Description
From Blissful Sin:

I honestly do not understand why this manga has received so much praise. It's just an average episodic yaoi series. Volume one was the only good volume out of the series, I really don't see the point in prolonging it. I'm on volume three right now and just can't see my opinion changing on it with one more volume.

The characters are cute, but they lack personality and character development. The characters are just all too cliche and bland. I also really don't think this qualifies as smut (although these reviews say otherwise), the plot is dull but it's not a mindless excuse for sex either. In fact, the sex scenes are short and a bit on the soft side. There's even a fair amount of shounen ai genre chapters (no sex).

Yeah, in my view this is overrated. This comes across as more of a beginner's yaoi manga to me. I do plan on reading it until the end just to see how it turns out but am not expecting anything spectacular.

I can't rate it since I only finished the first volume, but I wasn't really feeling it. Too cliche and dare I say too much smut? Maybe I need a teeny tiny bit of angst? It just seems wrong for a yaoi to NOT have just a little bit of angst.. and this is coming from someone who doesn't generally enjoy angsty stories!

Also: I don't really like stupid characters either.

I mean the first couple had a character who would purposely do bad on a test because he was afraid his tutor would leave him otherwise. Then some smexy stuff happens as a punishment.

This manga is boring.Characters is not likeable.Seme is jealousy,possesive,childish always like you re mine,you belong to me. give me a break.Uke doesnt even have a character.What others say uke will do it.You cant comminucate with the characters.Its no fun.So cliche situations always happens like school festival cosplay uke dont wanna seen by the seme or third characters who Iove seme or uke or some relatives.

Katekyo has ever since been one of those "must have" mangas for me.
The art is great, on par with big names like Yamane Ayano and the like, as are the smut scenes.
The characters are fun and the plot - even if there's not much - is entertaining.
It's a manga that lives from extremely sexy men, teasing and sex!
I'm a big fan of Kaede as he is both, a demanding and possessive sexy guy and a sweet, caring and worrying seme which makes him very lovable.
Rin can be a bit clueless and immature but he's cute enough, and I really like that there's none of the typical-for-yaoi "I'm raping you cause I love you" kinda elements in this.
It's generally just a very feel good, happy smut yaoi and I recommend that to anyone who enjoys that and anyone who can do without a grand story for once.

This is SOOOOO CUTEEEEEE!!!! I like it when Kaede's tolerance crumbled when Rintarou seduces him unconsciously. There's no characters in here that you can hate! They are all too good!!!! I liked all the volumes + the special booklets! It made me laugh, smile and feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I read this! It's definitely a must read for all yaoi readers who loves romance, and not too much of drama!

...so happy that FINALLY, i finish reading this manga! *cries*
This is so AMAZING!!! Long ago i just read this manga until 3 volume. So i don't know the ending. But now, I'M SO HAPPY!!! I finish it, and i LOVE IT!!! I KNEW I WILL LOVE IT BUT I DONT KNOW MY LOVE WILL BE MORE THAN I THINK I HAS!!! biggrin THE BEST ONE EVER!!! Their love is so touching, though the story is funny! I love both the characters! NO DISSAPOINTED AT ALL!!! RECOMMENDED!!! ♥

I'm not too big of this story for some strange reason! I don't know...there's this eerie feeling I get when I read this...WHY?!! The romance was just too quick for my liking and the seduction felt so...hm...
Well, let's just say I dropped it after volume 1 and read the special booklets. They were intriguing, but a mushy pile of lovey-dovey stuff. I liked the one where Rintarou was trying to upgrade his charm. Haha, that was quite comedic.

Rating this a 6, I will try to muster up the patience for this one day...but for now...meh.

Well this has everything I love; Possessive yet loving seme, adorable uke, yummy art, cute plot, good smut, and a bit of humour. There's practically no drama or conflict, and the plot is quite cliche, but so what? That's the main reason why I love this manga - because it's just so nice and fluffy. ♥

I like both characters; Kaede because he's so wickedly twisted (especially in the chapters that show his POV), yet always so desperately in love. My favourite type of seme!
As for Rintarou the best thing about him is even though he seems clueless and dazed most of the time, he does pick up on the important things. Plus he's so damn cute ^__^ He is the type of uke that would cry instead of getting angry, but that doesn't make him whiny or annoying like so many others.

So if you want something deep and gripping to read then this definitely won't be for you, but if you want something light and happy (and easy on the eyes!) then go for this ^__^

I actually stopped reading this series a while back, and I thought I should give it another shot, since I only read a few chapters. I didn't like it at first, something about Kaede pissed me off I think.

Reading the story again, it was actually really, really good! I loved volumes two and three, and it was WAY better than the first volume. The art is gorgeous, including the coloured pages. There are also chapters which had Kaede's POV, which I personally love(hehe). Overall, a cute and sweet story, with tons of love. biggrin
