Weekend Betsuender:

A collection of 5 short stories:

1. Natsu no Kakera
When Miyuki goes off to the countryside to visit her grandfather in the hospital, she accidentally enters Madoka’s room instead. Although she finds him rude at first, they end up seeing each other every day and get closer. But, Miyuki only has a limited amount of time in the countryside. As the summer passes, how will things turn out for them?

2. Yuki no Kakera
Aya usually has the library to herself after school - that is, until she witnesses an incident that leads to her discovery of Tono’s feelings for her fellow librarian, Konno. The three end up spending time together, and Aya finds it odd that she can’t stop watching them. As winter goes on, the snow falls and builds up like the fragments of Tono’s emotions - fragments that slowly find their way into Aya’s heart.

3. Koi no Kakera
What was initially sheer admiration for the club president, Kondo, spurred Konno into joining the Home Economics Club. Little did she know that these feelings of admiration would eventually grow into something bigger and she decides to knit him a scarf as an expression for her feelings. However, life is hard when the target of her affections is the harshest handicraft critic around. Would a scarf knitted with the her fragments of her emotions be enough to convey her feelings?

4. Harumichi Soushi

5. Akiiro Kimiiro
Kanako had always dreamed of falling in love; and when she finally does, things don’t exactly go according to plan. Ihara is cold, aloof and rude – but despite that, she is relentless and refuses to give up. Vibrantly coloured by all the moments they had together, it was the autumn their lives changed forever.

2nd Story

The 2nd story was just released, and I'd say it's my favorite in this collection biggrin It captures the pain of unrequited love in a beautiful way and ends on a sweet note. The pacing is fantastic and the characters are well fleshed out. The summary may be a bit confusing, so it's basically about how the female lead observes the unrequited love a boy has for her fellow female librarian (in the school library).

I actually cried when i read the 1st one shot. It is one of best one shots that have such an effect on the reader. The artwork is awesome, as expected of the author. I don't think mangas like these can be improved further. I'm not a person who likes sad endings but I might as well get used to it. A Perfect 10!!

Highly recommended. It's so sad and so touching. It's a very pure, aching love and very emotional which is pretty incredible for a one shot. I didn't expect it to be really touching or sad because the mangakas other work was more comedic and lighthearted. It was quite a surprise, and a pleasant one to read this.

The main characters are adorable and their relationship is expounded wonderfully. Although this was just one story out of the collection, I'm eagerly awaiting the rest. This mangaka is brilliant, really brilliant! She's really good with different stories and look forward to more work. As for this one, a perfect 10. One of the most sorrowful yet heartwarming oneshots I've ever come across. :')

My stomach actually is hurting, now that I've read it. It's sweet, yet not the happy ending I was looking for. It's one of those mangas that has to be a sad ending, yet you almost wish otherwise.

The art-style is so cute, and the first story also cute ^^. I really like the first one shot and looking forward the remaining.
Madoka's funny and cute ^^, I like the way he pretends to Miyuki's grandpa and says "It sure has been awhile, my grand-daughter!" xD
Even though I don't like sad ending but this one shot's ok. A little painful but peaceful and soft :X
