Description

I looooove thise series! biggrin!!!!!!! Especially the ending, and the story itself had so many twists and turns that I decided to stop coming to conclusions and actually wait for the ending to see what would happen *usually doesn't happen with me since I tend to (accurately) predict how a series will end before hitting the halfway point* but I couldn't with this one which was great! and I was really happy with the way it ended, like an eternal love that is reborn~ very refreshing x3

So it's not as bad as i thought it would be given some of the comments. I actually really like the story. Though it was sad, it wasn't that sad. I mean I didn't shed tears like I did with "Paradise Kiss" or "Mars". But I was happy that she got to accept him in the end. Even though it meant her demise. But at the same time I did feel sorry for the other guy lol Though the lead guy didn't really get his happy ending, it was insinuated that he would.. So I guess it wasn't that bad.

...from what I read. The plot wasn't original, but it wasn't too cliche either. The backstory with the character's pasts however didn't leave much of an impression on me. That, I found a bit cheesy.

All in all, it was a nice read. The art was pretty somewhat at the very least, unlike HMR style. Though I have to admit, the ending is exactly what I like in a story.

Bittersweet, while somewhat happy. Though for him to continue on living while meeting her reincarnations time-after-time is a rather depressing thought :(


Other than that, read this if you have the time. It's 3-volumes long, which I easily finished in about an hour and a half. biggrin

It's kinda good, really. The art is okay, but just a little confusing sometimes due t stiffness. It's my second time reading it because i couldn't remember what happened the first time I read it, but i remember it was kinda awesome in some way so I read it again haha. I may be weird but I love the teacher, he's kinda angsty XD I felt piercing in my heart when he gets jealous.

By the way does anyone notice her name, karam, is like an anagram of karma? Although I'm not sure if it's intentional (since i don't know Korean)

I think if she loves him first then she won't die. Not every girl that loves him dies, or else many girls would be dead because of him. Say, if Jean doesn't love Monica first (like Mr.Lee loves Karam) and it's Monica that loves Jean first, they'll be happy, i guess? Because the curse says "a love unattainable in life. If he should ever obtain love, the death of his lover" it sounds like he has to love a girl first, and she loves him back that she will die. I think about the words "obtain" and "first," and their temporal logic/relationship.. but i'm babbling :P But still I don't get why it helps his immortality, or maybe if she loves him first and they're a couple then it would break the curse because love is attained in life? Oh, and Yann (in the past) doesn't know about the last part of the curse, right? I admit I skipped many parts of it lol

Like others said this a very bitter sweet ending D;
it makes you feel happy that she finally decided to love him, but at the same time you get this depressing feeling .
it was a very good read & i enjoyed the pretty art <3

The reason I give this manhwa an 8, and not any higher is because I felt as if there were some holes within the story. True, the manhwa did have twists and turns, and I did tear up at the end, but I agree with what ceres21 said.

Overall, it's and excellent read, coupled with mystery and romance.

I loved reading it, because the plot is really original and unique. It looks like this author likes drawing stories that involve the time and the magic. Plus the bishies are gorgeous. The story gives you a bittersweet feeling, the kind you feel when reading another great manhwa, the Queen's Knight.
I only found a small flaw in the end, as someone else noticed

if the curse that Karam casted on Yann caused his lover to die, like it happens to her in the end, what's the point in her promise to fall in love with him in her next life? It looks like it's the happy end when Jean and Monica meet in Paris, but since the curse still stands, won't Monica die as well, regardless being Canette's reincarnation? I guess I'll never understand this point

but it's highly recommended!

I really liked the story development and the premise, but I feel like the ending was rather unrealistic.

For one, it never seemed like she was 'falling' for the teacher. She'd always be like "he makes me so uncomfortable," while she's always laughing and having fun with her classmate (sorry forgot their names haha...).

Also, I think the author should have retouched on the prophecy that was told in the beginning.

However, with the way it ended, I don't feel like it makes sense.

Becuase the teacher is kind of both of the guys, since he makes her die AND he's her lover? That's why I felt like Karam should have chosen the other guy.



So development was great, not too fast, not too slow.
It's a great thing to read if you have an hour to waste.
However, be prepared to be like 'wtf?' at the ending

The beginning was bleh--nothing special. Then you learn about the characters' pasts, and everything gets interesting.
The plotline is very interesting, and the ending gives you hope for love. Overall, a good read.
