Description

Rather common, but quite surprising. I didn't expect any of the twists - just the love ones, because that was pretty obvious. It did have some weak points, as everyone said, and that forceful little part made me wish for something more. But other than that, it is pretty cute and good for a one-shot. It's not like it's the best in the worl, but fun enough to get you into it. The art is gorgeous too.

Having read this oneshot again, it's just too hard to read this story seriously. Spoiler (highlight to view) Ehhh... like it's never explained how the guy could pose as a female vocalist and his fans could seriously like his voice. Or how they're actually supposed to err... fall for one another, just 'cos they enjoyed being together? And even then, the connection they had didn't really count as deep, just kinda like "friends". Also, it felt kinda weird like it was a mixture of shounen-ai and yaoi and the author couldn't decide how or where to develop the relationship in terms of sex.

for a oneshot, this will do. there are undeveloped aspects because of the limited format -- such as the love between those two, just ... why exactly? because they were friends as kids is all we get, and i am never really satisfied with that because i don't grok love that leaves out 10 years of crucial development. also, kaede's given reason for his career choice doesn't make sense to me at all. but beyond that, there is enough meat here for a quick read, the art is pleasant (kaede is hot), and the bits of humour (hiro's continued shock at the new kaede and what all he is doing) are amusing.
