Made the most of its run.

Manga that get axed often end so terribly that it sours the whole experience. (Double Arts comes to mind.) In contrast, Ice Revolution almost but not quite manages to make it seem as if it hadn't been axed at all. That's a pretty remarkable feat.

As for the manga itself, it's a lovely take on the trope of a tomboy striving to become more feminine. The art is great, and I especially love all the expressions full of joy.

Overall, this is a good, short manga.

This is really good, so much that I would've loved to seen it stretched out a little. 3 Volumes seem a little short. I-Revo is sort of like a highly condensed Prince of Tennis with the outrageous moves/growth, only it's about figure skating.

...that glitters deliciously when held up to the light. While the tags do say it's Rushed Ending/Axed, it doesn't mess with the wholeness of the story itself. So please don't let that deter you from reading it like it did with me at first.

My only irritation is that this series was cut short while a whole bunch of seriously crappy ones are still running. If the mangaka had the chance to elaborate on some of the elements only lightly touched upon in this story, this could have been one of the ultimates. Whoever decided to cut it short was quite a bit of a dolt or blind to this story's natural shine. Anyhow, it's still uhmazing<3

Just finished reading this, and pretty surprised to read other comments saying this was axed. This was a really good series, the ending did feel a little rushed and by the end of chapter 11, I was hoping for more! But like others have said, even though this axed, the mangaka ended it beautifully.

There is great character development, funny parts and definitely very entertaining. Each chapter made me wanting more. I think the only thing that made me laugh the hardest and made me feel stupid was how I got caught in the trap when Masaki rushed to get a make over from the famous make up artist. (If you have read this, you know what I'm talking about!) It was great a play there and as a guy, I gotta say, I got played by the mangaka! hahaha.

I loved this manga so much! I can't believe that it was an "axed" manga. It wrapped up nicely, the art was cute, the characters were amusing. It's simple and sweet. I recommend this manga!

Back then, I never thought I would be able to finish this series (due to lack of scanlations). Then I completed it and was quite surprised seeing that there was a category "Rushed/Axed ending" for "Ice Revolution". No reason to skip this series though, especially if you are still new to this manga like I was when I first started this one.

It's mostly due to some of the characters and the art that I-Revo is slightly special, and I really enjoyed reading this story. The plot is not really unusual and neither are most of the characters, but it's more of a comedy and a genre mix anyway. (shoujo + shounen). I had fun, it was entertaining, and that's the point.

Self improvement adventure and figure skating

The art is good when drawing figures in motion, though not very detailed. The characters are likeable. It has quite a few funny moments throughout. I came into this to read a romance but I'm sticking around for the character and her journey via a sport. It's more a sport manga than a romance one. The sport element never overwhelms the human/character drama, instead focusing on the training, pressure, and her resolve.

I recommend it. The relationship element is really downplayed. Not to mention, her reason for trying a sport could be criticized but this happens all the time in other manga's, not to mention her tier is multi-faceted. Its not uncommon for people to get into sports to help shape their personalities in what they wish it to be I.E karate, army, bodybuilding to become more outgoing, manly, or less afriad ect.

I enjoyed it a lot, wish it was three times as long, or however long the manga-ka desired it. But Dreamer00013 is right, the ending feels very complete and satisfying, like this is how it would have ended even if it was longer.

Yeh its both. Definitely not just shonen or just shojo. Its not often a girl is a shonen protagonist. Oh, and the guy she likes pisses me off -_- hes such a wimp. Well what did u expect from an ICE SKATING manga biggrin.

9/10 great read so far

This manga is very much so Shounen for the art. The story however, has me leaning towards Shoujo. Anyway, I think female readers might like this one a little more than the males. That being said, I'd probably rate it higher if I were female.

The contrast between genres is what stands out most imo.

i have to say that the further i read it the more it seems like a shoujo, although the art is very shounen like. Art is cool, but the main character is becoming worse by the second, why couldn't it just be a guy -.-
