Description
Celestial wizard Lucy wants to join the Fairy Tail, a guild for the most powerful wizards. But instead, her ambitions land her in the clutches of a gang of unsavory pirates led by a devious magician. When I first saw the artwork of Lucy and Natsu, all I had in mind was, "Did Oda make this one too? But when I read it, I looked more closely at the artworks and compared. I noticed a difference... Maybe not a lot of people can tell the difference between the artworks...which they are similar in a lot of ways. Fairy Tail talks a lot about teamwork but they usually work individually; One Piece values comrades as family and always works together (but sometimes are separated). I don't know, but when Fairy Tail characters talks about comrades, I get a cold chill. Feels like the author just puts the "teamwork" in there so they aren't always fighting over money...like a little something extra, I suppose. But that's just my honest opinion.

what a manga. it's different from one piece. when i see it first time i think " Wow a rave-like and yes it's hiro mashima." i can't think why people say its plagiat to one piece it's different.
when i see natsu he's look like haru but natsu is stupider than haru but they also have similarities in attitude,like protect friends . when i see gray ,wa he is musica with cool looking but gray is stupid like natsu.gray only cool when he's serious and quiet.
what ican say is it's different

but this is enjoyable enough. i actually read this one first. still, One Piece definitely left the stronger impression, and i never found myself thinking that IT was the copy. Oda's story is strong in its own right.
actually, i don't care about originality as much as others who've commented. strictly speaking, Fairy Tail is a light, entertaining read. just unoriginal. but- let's face it- most manga is.

this is one of those mangas i enjoy to read when i have no real good mangas to read. Well some might say that there are tons of good manga out and i can only agree. but unfortunatly i like reading completely scanlated GOOD mangas because else its a hassle to remeber the plot of 20 mangas which only appear with one chapter a week or even a month.
I can enjoy reading this manga because its ok/average while u read it but it makes me not want to know how it ends like the good stuff.
the only thing that bothers me is that people prefer scanlating this manga instead of some better ons who are defenetly out there but hey its mostly a free world so i got no right to complain ^^

Eh~ I'm not a fan of shounens, but i must say i've really enjoyed this c:.
I really can't say much about One Piece, i forced myself to read some of it, but it's just that pirates and ships </3. I don't see this much of a similary plot or anything in them tho, but i guess people that want to see something will see it even when there's nothing to see, and so goes for the ones convinced of the opposite ~
The art is nice, the characters are funny, and when i start reading an "arch" , a fight, i know it wont be one of those that last 20 chapters and make me want to stop reading even before having actually started = =.
The mangaka kept giving scattered information about the main plot throughout the first 100 chapters, thing you dont immediately notice but that now that the story's at chapter 148 is clearly visible~~ how the random informations we gained are all connected to ea other c:.
It kinda reminds me of one of my favourites fantasy series c:. All the chapters in it are narrated by one different main character.
The characters grow during the story, after ea arch they all aquire something i find.
The enemies arent just evils or w.e they were called, they all have a story, like Gerard, Luxus, or the Mr of Phantom, i think they're well developed. Well, maybe they don't have a super-deep-story that leaves you tearless or w.e behind, but they still have their story and personality.
I think Fairy Tail would make a good online game o.o <3

My first impression when i first look the cover of this manga is.... Is this another series by oda sensei? Nope, i wrong. But the artwork is really look alike. I can see luffy, nami, zoro, even robin there! (Urtear exactly look like robin) Not to mention chopper as a cat 
But it looks like this one made by Rave mangaka.
The story absolutely better than Rave. It's likeable and interesting...

I almost never think that a 1/10 is merited but for a plagiarized work I think this is acceptable. Anyone who thinks this manga is anything less than a rip off is a delusional idiot.
I recently made the mistake of clicking on fairy tale again because I recognized the name only to find natsu (the main character) fighting a character you weilds and eats poison. Magellan vs luffy anyone. How are people completely oblivious to the parralels?

i love this manga!! honestly, when i read the first volume, i was kind of disappointed, but when i read on, it gets more and more interesting and the storyline is starting to come out. it seems as if the author is trying to make a story out of nothing <-(i don't know how to explain clearly in words) but, all in all i find it awesome(:

When i first picked this manga up (early spoiler warning)
One of the main characters actually ate fire how cool is that!
Sadly that was really the only cool idea as the rest of the manga is just meh.
The fights are rushed and power is unbalanced. They make these S class mages to be practly like gods that no one can hope to match, because the main characters never really gain any power thoughtout the manga. They just stay the same dispite more and more overpowered bad guys poping up. Because of this while reading, it felt more like a chore to slog though another pridictable fight of, main character gets angry gets butt kicked, gets more angry gets butt kicked, gets SUPER angry gets butt kicked before help comes or does something stupid. After the fight there is no progression of the characters abilites at all.
I get the feeling that there is some possible underlying plot which is an interesting mystery but the plot never takes us there or give us any clues at all. As a result everything almost feels like filler because you want to hurry to the part that reveals the mystery. However this most interesting mystery, is almost completely ignored. I can def see this being a great manga but theres gotta be some all incompasing plot twist that sends this off on some real good adventure. Or tie in everything previously read so it doesnt feel pointless and a waste of time. So overall atm this manga is just meh not very good but not very bad just...meh. Id suggest it if you have nothing to do/read. |
