This manga was great until this line:
Spoiler (highlight to view)
That boy is scarred...from a painful love in the past.

From then on, cliche.

this is a novelty in the shoujo world because, instead of the usual hating on the female lead, all the hatred it focused on the jerk of a male lead.
This is one of the first times ever in my 6 years of reading manga, that the girl has gotten so much fan support and the lead male is getting flamed. its a nice change.

Very, VERY cliche. I can't believe this one is rated 8.4. Wow.
The only thing I like about it is the art. The art is pretty, I suppose. Probably the only thing that kept me reading it.
But it's got ALL those shoujo cliches. The main bishie being good at everything, popular, hot, every girl wants him, girls will do anything to get him, but the guy doesn't care about girls until he finds the girl who's the "odd one out". The best friend likes him as well. Ugh.
At first I liked it, because it seemed that her friendship with Moe was a deep one, and the main girl showed a lot of her strong character in the first chapter (or rather, the first few pages). But as it went on, my hopes pretty much fell. The girl lost all of her character as she "fell" for the guy, and everything else just became another one of those vomit inducing, cliched shoujo mangas. And why in the world did she fall for him? I still have no idea. -_-

i dont know why i kept reading this manga. the first chapter seems okay to read.
then aoi falls for shuusei and she started to irritating me with her desperate act to shuusei.
shuusei has no value to be likeable.
he's totally a JERK.
he treats aoi badly, and the girl just act like it's natural, nothing wrong bout it. aoi has no self-esteem. if love makes people become a fool, then aoi is a good example. i kept saying in my mind, get over it, you moron. but aoi always doing one stupidity to another stupidity.
Oh, and i hate the situations that make them closer. so NOT logical.

the stories bored me til the end. none

Seriously, the main man should crawl into a hole and die. I think that she should take Sanjou-san and tell the mr. Sob Story to go bury himself behind the apartments, because he is getting on my nerves. Aoi does not deserve the nuisance that he has created.

I honestly thought I'd really like this a lot... in the beginning anyway. It seemed like it would be the type of story that twisted cliche into something a little better. However, those hopes just slowly fell as it dragged on and on... and on.

I can't stand how the main male lead is leading her on. It's so obvious that she has feelings for him; he's fully aware of it and yet he still does strange things like bite her neck, and hug her in ways that aren't just friendly. Uggh. And if she is getting confused she should say so or do something at least. sad

There's something about these types of shoujos that tick me off. It's the fact that the heroine is downplayed significantly and that the guy can get away with being overly rude to her with the fact that he actually "loves" her. The manga (From the chapters I've read) follows the typical formulaic plotlines and content.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
it begins with the two love interests living together in a small complex with the male lead continually teasing and leading the girl on. The girl then falls in love with the guy then confesses to him only to get let down. Let's also not forget the poor "nice" guy who is just there to make the male lead jealous and fall in love with our dense heroine. I honestly feel bad for the genuine nice guys in shoujo, they always get the short end of the stick.

All in all there's nothing special about this manga and if you like shoujos with the whole "he's a jerk but actually loves her" trope then this is the manga for you! It's not for me but oh well.

I actually like this. C'mon, it's at least a little funny. I have to agree, Shuusei's really a jerk and everything, but this is shoujo. Princely types always run hot and cold - that's how the attraction keeps going. Considering this is a shoujo, we shouldn't have such high expectations. As long as it's amusing and gets a few smirks out of you, I'd say this was a job well done...

My advice to those of you who don't like this is to move on from shoujo. If you're seriously tired of slow, weepy heroines and jerk prince types, move on. There's still seinen and josei out there - have your pick! It'd be more worth your time than reading this and hating it the whole time. Unless, of course, you actually like this stuff.

At first it was good but then the male protagonist started to be this a confusing jerk who messes with heroine's feelings. Like he starts kissing her back and saying all this perverted stuff to the heroine. Then he's all like don't fall in love with me, I mean come on you expect some chick not fall for you when you're like really hot and flirting with her. Ugh I can't even. He is the ultimate douche-bag in the manga world. I have never seen such a jerk. I couldn't read it, and then the girl sits there and cries over him. Like seriously this is so stupid. Ugh pass this manga on, cause it sucks. smile
