Description
For Tanpopo Yamazaki, life at the elitist academy in Tokyo seems way out of her league. The children of wealthy families snub her, other students make light of the fact that she actually tested into Meio, instead of relying on family connections, and the cute boy she saw tending a dandelion the day before wouldn't even acknowledge her existence. Hoping to make friends and have some fun, Tanpopo starts up a gardening committee, but will this help her survive in a school where superficiality and money reign supreme?

Short and sweet by carlemb on October 30th, 2009, 10:07pm

I was a bit surprised by this one. If you've read a few Yuu Watase works and are utterly tired of too many attempted rape scenes/pointless character deaths/smutty scenes, then this one is for you. It does not drag, (being only five volumes) and is for the most part a very light-hearted story about finding one's place in the world. The main character is a cheerful, likeable girl and all of the other characters have a certain something about them that makes them memorable. Recommended for when you want to read a cute shoujo manga that's not too long and not too serious.

The only good work from Watase! by LUEser on October 15th, 2009, 8:50am

I have to admit, out of all Watase's reverse-harem all-time chick fantasy works, I like this one the best. One, it doesn't deal with weird demons or characters out of a book. Two, instead of dealing with jealousy of each other over the best boyfriend, this one works with gardening. And three, it's easy going and doesn't drag for over 20 volumes.

i liked it by Kaito Zero on April 29th, 2009, 11:12pm

imadoki is the only manga of watase where i don't hate the main character and wish they would just die. i really like tanpopo's character but i thought she was better before she started liking him. she was funnier then too. i thought the first book was better than the later ones but overall it was good

Shocked. by dreamit. on March 1st, 2009, 2:43am

I knew about this manga a long time ago but i didn't want to read it because i THOUGHT the drawing is bad and im a sucker for drawings in shoujo manga's. Anyway, this manga was surprisingly really really good. very cute and romantic! I was shocked that the art was actually good and that the manga would be that good! The only reason i gave it a 9.5 is because
Spoiler (highlight to view)
i guess i expected it to have a CRAZY ending. the ending was good.. like happy ending where last page is him going to her and hugging her saying he will be staying in hokkaido with her but i dunno. i wanted more hahaahha guess it's just me XD
All in all, this manga really didn't have any flaws cuz there was character development and no boring parts at all! i was hooked right at the first volume! haha if you like those shoujo-romance-light-nice feeling manga's i highly recommend this smile

imadoki by anicheung on January 9th, 2009, 1:06pm

Well, I'd have to say that this was a fun manga to read. It was cute and typical of a few shoujo manga already on the market. The storyline was not bad and Tampopo is a pretty admirable person-- sometimes a bit too cheery for my liking. Overall, this is a fun read.

:D okay too. by hyd_ed on December 25th, 2008, 12:07am

Neheheheheh... Surrounded by total hunks yet again. Then there's the flushed, independent jerk, and under all that thick skin lies a a man of cloying sweetness. As long as she's not like Miaka its all good right? Wrong Tanpopo Yamazaki still maintains unbearable positiveness. Ohh the painnn... But other then that, a good read. Well for me a great time killer.

Okay. by rindtron on October 19th, 2008, 1:21pm

Artwork is really good, storyline was fairly interesting and the flower talk was good too, but the heroine herself was quite annoying to me. Don't know why.

nice one!! by otakuness on September 22nd, 2008, 4:07am

i love it...even though its cheesy and cliche at times....the series is very funny because of the different personalities of the characters...the the ending is just too expected... so i cant exactly give the 10/10 rating to it but still its a definite must read!!!!!!!!

Just another story about the "Prince" and the pauper by black_avani on June 12th, 2008, 9:21am

I have to say this is one of my favorite series from Watase-sensei, it's funny, and also cliche at the same time! The characters from this manga are well... Lively... With their bizzare habits, this manga really made my day!

Although the ending is pretty much expected, it's still a good read! Recommended for anyone who just need a good laugh!

Only good for passing time by inirini on June 4th, 2008, 3:24am

Really, the only good thing about the series is good for passing time and just want a good, sweet read that has every shoujo cliche possible. It's actually very fun if you try to picture what the next cliche will happen next and be rewarded with the expectations. At least, it's only five volumes long, so I had an enjoyable time reading it. Otherwise, it's just... super fluffy sweet sort of thing.
