Description
Kyosuke Kosaka, a normal seventeen-year-old high-school student, hasn't gotten along with his younger sister, Kirino, in years. For longer than he can remember, Kirino has ignored his comings and goings and looked at him with spurning eyes. It seemed as if the relationship between Kyosuke and his sister, now fourteen, would continue this way forever. One day, however, Kyosuke finds a DVD case of a magical girl anime entitled Hoshikuzu Witch Meruru (Stardust Witch Meruru), which had fallen into the entranceway of his house. To Kyosuke's surprise, inside the case is a hidden adult video game titled Imoto to Koishiyo! (Love with Little Sister!)

Good until the later books

The first couple of books were good. It was around book 9 or 10 or so that the series went downhill until book 12, when it became completely unsalvageable.
I read it for the characters. I liked how they interacted with the protagonist Kyousuke, with the exception of Kirino who was just intolerable at times.
If you want to read it, by all means, but just know that it gets worse near the end.

Worth your time

This Light Novel should be worth your time reading it.
Most characters are fleshed out, and it gets funnier as it goes on.
Even the writing is good and gets better throughout the series, supported by good translations.
It does enflame your rage towards the final boss better than most fighting/action Novels.

The only thing that was not transmitted well was the plot around the protagonists amnesia-like behaviour towards his past, Volume 11 deals with that so it only bothers you for a short while.
Rereading the novel from the beginning seems weird at some points, but since successful Novels get extannded midway it is forgivable.

Enjoy the read!

What do you mean the translated books on Baka tsuki are just a teaser? Have you really read the translated books or are you just joking? There is a really good and full translation out there of this wonderfull light novel (from volume 1 till 12). Search and you will find it. They did a great job to translate it. And the project is finished.

Don't get your hopes up, I don't think this light novel will be released in the USA.

I really enjoyed the Anime and I follow the manga, however, it all stops before the best parts of the story. I read the translated books online, but they are just a teaser. It's a fun story though.
