Description
There was once an ogre (oni) mother who gave birth to a human-looking child. Instead of an ogre's horn, this child was born with a sword in hand called the "Onigirimaru" or Ogre Slayer. He has no name and is only refered to by the name of his sword. Though he appears human, he is pure ogre.
Believing that he will become human once all of his kind vanished from the world of humans, he sets out on his destiny to slay all of his kind. Even now, in the mother world of Japan, he is still out there slaying ogres.

Presents episodic horror story folk tales in a suspenseful school life setting. It's really dark, just the level that I like. Too bad scanlation has been dropped/suspended. Edit: Yay, it resumed.

Lots of blood and gore and the artwork is alright. Still that is enough to keep me reading. Where is the plot though? Is it just a boy/demon killing other demons trying to be human? I only read the chapters translated so far so I really wanna see what will happen...
Wow. I haven't seen this in years. Makes me wonder if this is the first manga series whose license expired in the U.S. Grim storyline, decent art and lots of gore. I'd personally also classify this as tragedy but I never read more than the first volume. Not my personal preference but it may appeal to some.
