Description
In the year 2038, a white light descended on the center of Tokyo and stole the memories of over one million people. The cause of this horrible incident was not determined, and no cure was to be found. The government formed a separate city beneath Tokyo to house and care for the victims of the incident and branded them as "KIDz." Regardless of their age, they truly are like children, and they must be retaught everything they once knew. Noa Ikurumi, who lives in this isolated society, is just taking one day at a time and dreaming of finally being allowed to go back out into the world. But Noa's life will once again change drastically on the day that he is taken hostage by a terrorist with some surprising information about his identity...

| interesting storyline by yuno19 on August 22nd, 2010, 9:30am |

but i do hope the design turned plain. the extravagant clothes cuts, swords, main character's hairstyle, and everything is so boyish (shounen). i think future lies in sophisticate simplicity, not in extravagance. they hurt my eyes.

I adore anti-hero characters, like Noa. And I was caugt by the whole "world of lost memories" title, because when you read on, it certainly seems like a world, indeed. Many theories seep through my mind.

I haven't seen any series like this yet, though maybe I should as the previous commenter said something about CODE GEAS.
It's an interesting concept and I have been left to ponder about Noa's real past and the reason for what he did. He's also a capable character, being able to use strategies and his brains to accomplish something (I like main characters that are not useless or pathetic).
Looking forward to more |

| Brains over brawn. by Harimau on August 7th, 2010, 3:04am |

I've always been a huge fan of the thinkers, the masterminds, the tacticians of fiction. Given a choice between a muscle-bound hero and a cunning villain, I will laud the cunning villain every time. Intelligent anti-heroes. These are the people who use their superior intelligence to seek their heroic, villainous or ambitious ends, masterfully manipulating pawns and opponents to overcome the limitations of simple strength: Dirk Provin of "The Second Sons", Reinhard von Lohengramm of "Legend of the Galactic Heroes", Griffith of "Berserk", Eumenes of "Historie", Lelouch vi Britannia of "Code Geass", Yagami Light of "Death Note", Hiyama Ren of "Lost+Brain". And now, securely joining their ranks is Noa of "Zennou no Noa". I eagerly await more.
