Sweet and warm yet cool. (Actually major themes of the volume, believe it or not.)

This was like the second BL manga I ever bought, around the time June was still called "DMP Yaoi" and sticker design at the bottom was still purple, so it has a nostalgic place in my heart... But I think that for those wanting to broach into the "Yaoi" genre carefully (i.e. not have their face attacked by smut, mild or otherwise), this is definitely a great manga to start with.

The main story is sweet and gentle, and the characters express their feelings pretty well on their faces -- the only reason I was a bit put off after finishing Takayama and Mizuno's story, I remember, is that it ended too quickly. The manga-ka even apologizes, saying that she originally thought that more than writing and drawing 3 chapters would be too much for her (I guess she'd only done one-shots until then?), then regretted not doing 4 to wrap up the story in a smoother manner.

Nonetheless, it's still finished up rather nicely, and the one-shots that come after are also pretty adorable.

It's one of those stories that has a guy that slowly realizes his love for another guy. Actually, the summary for this manga is kind of misleading as it only explains one story in the whole volume. In total, there are 3 stories and all of them are quite cute. The artwork can be classified as cute and it's pleasing to the eye.

Blah blah blah, awesome, blah blah blah, cool, blah blah blah, I love yaoi. There you have it. It kinda makes you want to read it, right? It's not a mature yaoi, it's just an adorable love story that can only be explained as "It was as cute as a box of kittens only better >.<) You know what Stop what your doing right now and go read it. I don't care if you have relatives over, or if you homophobe brother is in the room. I say what ever makes 'em uncomfortable!

Ah, I really like the artist in this one, not a style that I would traditionally look for but it was so cute that I couldn't help but enjoy it.

The first story, the longest by far, was my definite favourite. The part about the ghosts is just so cute, and how he just can't seem to shut up.

The next two stories were all right, but no where near as good as the first. The one with the baking in particular was sort of, meh. They felt like they both could have used another chapter to flesh them out a little and come to a more filling ending.

To the author's credit, she did say it was her first BL book, so I can understand that it's a great first try. I would really like to read her other work, but I'll be damned if that I've ever seen anything from that publisher on a store shelf.

I really liked this, especially for the psychological elements to it. I enjoyed seeing Mizuno change from a lifeless, numb boy to a happier one that can feel love. The way the mangaka showed him realizing his loneliness and slowly coming to want Takayama's presence was great.

I wish more manga were like this, and the art was very pretty too. The blushing was so cute~

Gentle Mild Story

This one wasn't powerfully affecting to me. It was worth the time to read but it will never make even the bottom of my list of ones I can't stop thinking about.

On the plus side, the story was sweet and the boys were so young and innocent I just watend to hug them. Not a very sexual story, as you can see.

The message the manga-ka sent out to me was that wonderful feeling we have when we are around people that make us feel loved and wanted is a feeling to cherish and never lose. We can be living 'ghosts' if we have no one that wants and loves us in our life, if we push everyone away.
