Description
From DMP:
Toru is a shy and quiet student who has developed a special crush on his close friend Ryoji, the most popular member of the high school swim team. In front of Ryoji, Toru hides his feelings and acts as if he is just one of Ryoji's good friends, but in a moment out of the blue his world will be turned upside down as Ryoji will confess a secret desire for Toru. Dazzled, Toru can barely hide his excitement for Ryoji and quickly accepts his offer. As time passes, Toru's happiness begins to fade knowing that his affair with Ryoji was just a fling based out of Ryoji's sexual curiosity.
Toru, adamant about his feelings for Ryoji, confides in another one of his close friend, Kashiwazaki, about his dilemma. The two set off to devise a plan to test Ryoji's true intentions by faking a romantic relationship. Soon after, a frustrated and jealous Ryoji attempts to pry Toru out of the arms of Kashiwazaki. Is it just as they planned? Yeah! That is of course until Toru realizes Kashiwazaki wasn't really faking! How could he not have seen it coming?
Both Toru and Ryoji have hidden their feelings from each other in the past, but now they have discovered that they were not the only ones. Will Toru and Ryoji be reunited or will their true feelings for each other go unfulfilled?

The manga cleared some things up for me, thought, as when I was reading the novel, I felt that it was a 'typical yaoi manga'. Nothing wrong with that though. Honami Yukine's art style is truly beautiful, it feels soft and doesn't seem cluttered with extra lines and tones. I felt that the way Toru mentioned that he loves Ryoji no matter what he does, or what happens, is similar to real life, where when you love someone, it becomes hard to let go. The way Ryoji went about things bothered me, but, well.... it's yaoi manga. And it was so beautiful.

I wasn't really fond of Ryoji testing his sexual curiosity onto Toru, but what comes after that became a really good story. The fake relationship, a jealous Ryoji, and hidden feelings discovered; it's nice.

I like Honami Yukine's works but this one... Well, the author, Kazumi Maki, really has no idea about such things. Seriously, the story is artificial and too ideal at the same time. I guess it would have been a whole lot better if they weren't so young.

it took two months after i read it to realize i actually liked it a lot more than the initial read, now i go back and read it over sometimes! pretty touching and interesting =)
if you like this one, try reading junjou by fujiyama hyouta
(has anyone thought of this series while reading junjou o.O)

i cant believe people are saying the seme is straightforward he seems like such a jerk to me, he (spoiler) tells his friend that he turns him on and yet he rushes off to find a girl friend to sleep with. they are both jerks to do that behind her back, i felt sorry for the girl in this manga. if the seme sees nothing wrong with cheating what will his relationship with the uke be like? i couldn't stand either character they only cared about themselves and not about anyone elses feelings. i felt like the change in him at the end was unrealistic, he spends the whole manga sleeping with his girlfriend and the uke and ALL of the sudden he wants to have a relationship with the uke just because he was jealous? both characters were very unlikable, the uke deserves it if his boyfriends cheats on him since he slept with another girls boyfriend.

hmm...kinda anit-climatic but yet the story leaves an impression 10 points! by the way i SERIOUSLY recommend CONSTELLATIONS IN MY PALM it was drawn by the same artist(yukine honami) and the story was soooo nice and sweet!!!!!!!! just read it you'll love it!!!

I normally despise angst, moreover sappy romance angst, but somehow this was pretty enjoyable, despite the bittersweet twinge. It's really worth reading, I think! Really beautiful art, too. <3

I swear not to read 1 but after I read the one and only Yoai of WATASE Yuu, I got curious. I search some other titles and I gave this one a shot.
It was sweet and cute. Ryojiis an outspoken person and just says what he thinks and what he wants. Then just suddenly he told his friend Toru that he gets turn on when he sees him. He didn't actually know what those means. (I think) Then he ask his friend if they can have sex, just to see if how it feels in real life.
It was really cute story and the art was really nice

| This was one of the first BL stories I ever read, and it still remains one of my favorites. The art is beautiful and sexy, and while the plot might not break a lot of new ground it is still compelling. |
