From JShoujo Scans:
Kikukawa Shiori wakes up from a motorcycle accident only to find out she's lost her memory! Try as she might, she can't remember anything about the yankee-looking boy who claims to be her boyfriend, her kind-hearted and good looking older brother, or her aloof and introverted younger sister.
When she goes to school for the first time since her accident, she overhears people talking about her---and the things they say aren't flattering. From what she hears, she was a terrible person before the accident. Was she really as horrible as they're making her out to be? And will she ever get her memory back?

What first caught my eyes about Six Half is the description of the story. It involves a simple case of amnesia and the typical problems that comes with an amnesia plot. Except for that fact that it isn't so simple and clean like a typical manga. By far, Six Half is one of the most realistic manga that I've ever read. The story works to give each character their individuality. The good, the bad, and even the things that lies between, Six Half is able to encompass it all through its characters. The best part about Six Half is that it makes you feel as though you are actually inside the story. I'm no fan of Shoujo nor Shounen manga but this one is most definitely a good read.
i'm glad i give this manga a 3rd chance
this manga has been on my wish list for years. I usually don't read any manga from my wish list because I put them there so that I won't see them when I search for new manga (because a lot of time the manga on my wish lists are just bad... bad..). but I come across this manga on tumblr and didn't know it was on my wish list, so I read it. It is really good, a bit depressing with the whole love square? circle? idk but it is really good. If you stop reading this because of the art (the mc looks like one of those annoying girls in super cliché shoujo manga), give it a chance. it will get better and so does the story line..
A story of second chance
I don't usually pick up titles with an overdramatic plot device like memory loss or teenage rebellion but the quick development of this manga made me stay. This is highly rated for a reason. Main character Shiori is a high school sophomore popular for her beauty and resented for her rotten behavior. When she lost her memory, Shiori became a totally different person and struggled to keep her new identity even when she realizes what her personality really was. At this point, I knew that this manga is worth reading until the end. I was really touched by Shiori's constant effort to rebuild herself even if her memories have yet to return.
I couldn't give it a perfect 10 because of the weird family situation Shiori and siblings are in. It still bothers me. It would have been a smooth read had it not for some twists.
interesting! want to see the ending so bad!
i want to know more. i want to know whether shiori will get her memory back, what kind of past she had, who shiori will end up with,
oh and i ship Shiori with kai!!

MY BEST SHOUJO! the one and only <3
Just please please please I really want her to end up with her step brother! He's so kind and handsome. "Kind people have a way of working their way inside me and rooting there". I've read raw in raffmanga but I can't understand japanese! Why is no one scanlated it T^T
So close to utter perfection
When I first came across this title online, I wasn't very hopeful. I read lots of shoujo mangas and admittedly they're guilty pleasures at best. Save from some exceptional series such as Tsubasa, Ouran etc. But this....THIS-!
Where the hell have you been all my life?
I can never recall the last time I enjoyed reading manga this much, and a shoujo drama at that. People will be offended by this, but almost all with those genres have overly repetitive storylines, the dramas are often very laughable, with characters(heroines) that are annoying as hell.
And this manga...just *ughhh* I don't even know what to say. The characters, for me, are endearing, and I really was fond of Shiori. Despite her internal struggles, she always does her best to be strong and do what's best for everyone. She has a very convincing attitude towards wanting to be a good person, and I adore her for that. True, she still has flaws, but her development was almost realistic. Shiori is nowhere near those generic heroines who always want me to punch the screen for insulting common sense.
I also loved almost all the others characters in the manga. About how all of them really does seem important to the plot (some more than others, of course). I love how Maa-chan always reminded Shiori of her past, how A-chan tries his best to be a great brother, how Kai really does love her - all their emotions, I could almost feel radiating from the page. Even though it's all dramatic, the drama doesn't feel forced.
During sad scenes, tears would run down my cheeks. When the characters are happy, I'd feel happy too.
The author sure knew what she was doing. The storytelling was superb, far superior to most of the same genre out there. The dialogues are clever, and the conversations sound so fluid. It almost feels like that the manga respects your intelligence, and I liked that...a lot. So far, only 20 chapters were translated to English, and from what I observed, the story's far from over.
I definitely can't wait to read more. Six Half is a compelling and beautiful manga - probably the best I've ever read.
BEAUTIFUL dramatic manga
I'm so glad that I decided to read this manga. The previous times I came across it here I often shrugged it off as being the formulaic kind of shoujo manga with cutesy heroines with shallow problems. Well, it's NOT that kind of manga. For a manga that's centered on high school, it has a pretty mature storyline kind of like those of Mars and Deep Love, to name a few and also a mystery to add to the drama as well. And it's also pretty 'psychological' if you ask me as the characters are not as what they appear to be to the others. Anyway, you just have to read it to find out. I'm currently on Chapter 18 and I can't wait for more of this manga.
About the art, I've seen better HOWEVER the art really contributes to the overall mature and mysterious storyline of the manga.

Can't wait for more!
Yep, I just can't stand to wait for more releases of the chapters!! It's soooooooo interesting that I'm dying for more. I'm dying to know more about the main character's past and
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
somehow I knew that maybe she was just purposely acting a bad person to keep some secrets(and I'be got feeling that Akio likes her too) :) )
Anyway, I just can't wait for more!

Absolutely love this. I'm usually not one for overly dramatic plot devices (such as amnesia, body switching, comas, ect) because they're usually very flat, generic and depressing ways to start a story - but in this case, it's created a wonderful one. I don't know if I was a little crazy in the odd hours of the morning I read this, but it actually made me cry quite a bit. The drama is genuinely hard to bare if you put yourself in the shoes of the protagonist. She is admirable and painfully relatable when she feels out of place and contemplates the position she's in. And the drama involving her friends is realistic enough where it never gets too out of hand or annoying - plus everything is relevant to the character's hidden past. But most notably, the flaws in personality and actions of the characters in the story feel refreshingly human - frustrating in many ways and difficult to come to terms with but in a very good "things will probably be alright in the end" kind of way.
Overall, I adore this story. It's a gem in terms of originality and plot, yet still quite a bit sad and maybe improbable when it comes down to how much amnesia can change a person's personality. That's the only questionable thing (except not everything has been revealed yet..)
Hoping that this will continue to be scanlated sooner! Can't wait for more.

Its Pretty Good
In my opinion this is a VERY good series, and as far as i have read, this does not have inappropriate content, so it seems like a series for everyone.I believe that the art style is actually quite realistic, because there is none of those very big eyes. The story may be a bit hard to understand and its not one of those 'cute' romantic stories, Its not cliche either which makes it really good. Im not sure if i would recommend it for those who are under 13 years old, but if they can understand it, then that would be fine (10 to 13 yr olds are getting smarter these days). So all i can say is that i enjoyed this series very much, and am hoping that they can release the next chapter. I might also try this author's other works, if there are any.
