Indeed. After reading 10 chapters of this manga, 'mildly amused' is describing my current state perfectly. Which wasn't the case at the beginning, as both characters and the setting seemed to promise a far more engaging story and interesting characters. Alas, the further one went in, the flatter the plot got and more stereotypical the characters felt. Quite a shame, that.

Pretty people and some interesting worldbuilding, but the characters felt rather flat to me, and the plot was too 'You are the underdog turned Chosen One' stereotypical for me.

The series has a tiny amount of graphic sex, but mostly feels like shounen ai with potty mouth. It's so silly that it is not even mildly erotic.

If you dislike any of the above, this manga has nothing for you and you will do better with a different series.

The art is simple but Lord Tenran adorableness manage to shine through. He is not the typical uke in so many adult manga. Despite his most powerful status and worldly wise, he is so adorable persistent uke when he wants to. Asagi, the seme also has elegant characterization. His gentleman attitude always thwarted Tenran seduction attempt though. The dynamic of their relationship actually has more depth than what was shown at first. I never squeal so much like when I'm reading this. The plot and the characterization of the main characters were captivating. Something that I will make an effort to own and keep.

One of the better shounen-ai series Ive come across. The characters have original personalities for a nice change which make you like rather than hate them. As the summary said, its the uke who takes total advantage of the the semi rather than the other way round. Just reading about how how Tenran tries to sexually harrass Asagi, albeit often unsucessfully, had me in absolute fits of laughter.

Definately something to read if you like comedy and fantasy mixed with shounen-ai. Hell... read it for the comedy alone, its worth the effort!

While the art in this piece may not seem to be anything special, the characters and the plot more than make up for that one little shortcoming. More specifically, the character of the uke really shines here - but the dynamic between him and the seme is interesting, hilarious, and more than a little sweet. Very awesome manga - I would recommend it to anyone who likes their yaoi with a good plot and great characters.
