Arikawa Youichi's life at university is going just fine. He isn't having any trouble with his classes, he has plenty of friends, and even a cute girlfriend named Kanami. Then the day comes where he meets Misaki. Misaki Shouta is a reserved, stand offish fellow but for some reason, Youichi can't seem to get him out of his mind. In fact, he can't seem to stay away. When he lands a job working in the lab with Misaki, it seems more than just the flowers are about to bloom. But will they recognise their emotions for what they are, and have the courage to accept it?

Totally worth it!
When I started reading this I didn't know what to expect, so I was quite happy with what followed. The story is pretty slow, but the beautiful art and quite moments really make up for that. It took some time to get through but now I can't wait for the next chapter!
Yeah, it deserves some credit
Its believable in my opinion. I mean most Yaoi these days are uke gets raped, uke falls for seme for whatever f**king unlogical reason! *sigh* But this manga is refreshing and sweet~ The seme is such a sweetheart while the uke is just so timid and naive but still shows a serious composure. I love the idea of flowers and plants as the theme! It's so fitting!
An okay manga, not very simple and yet not very dark either. We can already guessed that how the story would be. I can even guess Misaki's past just from some flashback. It's obvious but it's very enjoyable so I can turn a blind eye to the obviousness.
I really like Arikawa's personality. I think all semes should be just like him.
Overrated AND underrated..?!
Haha somehow I feel rather quizzical about this manga now that I've finished it. It's almost like a paradox I would say. The title has been one of the highest rated yaoi series for years in many sites and particularly here in MU, so there certainly were rave reviews which I thought would overhype the manga to an extent, but then there were also less positive ones which had me wonder for a while what the true direction that this one headed in was.
So now that I've finished it, I gotta say I stand on a different ground to most. I've read countless slice-of-life mangas in general so I have a pretty good idea what the genre has to offer. This manga is not the over-the-top and melodramatic type, but not similar to those slow and passive mangas either. As far as the plot and development go, the series is actually quite decent imo though not entirely brilliant. I'm quite okay with the story and the characters are alright as well. That said, I feel that the mangaka could have 'exploited' the setting a bit more and dived deeper into the emotions hidden without displaying too much, which would definitely help adding more sustance. Still, this is surely one of the better BL mangas out there that could undoubtedly satisfy many readers' taste for sure, especially when it's just full of rosy love like that.
love this mangaka
she writes such great stories! I love that the seme is just as crazy about the uke as the uke is crazy about him (if not more so)! And the sexy scenes were just amazing. I haven't seen that drawn with so much feeling and depth in a while (and I read a LOT of yaoi). I'd definitely recommend. Now I want to go re-read Seven Days (again). Such beautiful art. So cute!

I really loved it. I love the draw, was beautiful and also the story. You can find the awakening of you true self. Misaki he thought his likes were a sin loving a guy to him wasn't "correct" or "normal" and he didn't express to much his own feelings because he didn't want to get hurt -again- (who doesn't understand that) but when he meet arikawa he start to change and feels like his love its no just for one side and he understand that his feelings are not wrong. Such a beautiful story.
Next we have satoshi, I really pity for him (I fall for him actually) because he doesn't do what he really wants, he only does what his mum would approve, it's frustrating living like that. that's it's not life at all and he also have the same problem as misaki, he doesn't accept himself, he thinks being gay is abnormal, that's rubbish. He really needs to change, because he lost the love of his life just for that stupid way of thinking.
I think this is a cute and little realistic story about what we live in our life. Except for those amazing sexy beats. Ugh.
I feel like crying
This story gives off feeling of being fragile esp. The uke, it feels that he is going to break in my perspective. This is so good, so solemn(for me) and pure. I love it very much, i've also read the sequel and i feel like crying because the ending is really good, it nearly made me cry. This is just so sweet and fulfilling.
the first yaoi manga that satisfy me
rather than sex scenes and showing richy dreamy ways,i prefer this kind of manga.....plot,art and characters are so realistic and heart touching.....only thing to say is it only has 3 volumes
Completely in love with this manga
The storyline may be a bit predictable to some people, but in all honesty that didn't affect me at all. I loved both of the male characters, and found the manga as a whole so sweet and gorgeous. I may be a bit biased since the art is so well drawn, but I really loved everything about this manga ^^
Good manga but not the best.
It's a good solid manga, one of those that neither has a big plot nor much drama or anything else... it's just a very simple love story. I like the art and the characters and it was an enjoyable read but I wouldn't count this as the best manga I've ever read or anything either... however I do see the appeal Takarai Rihito has for Yaoi beginners. This is one of the better works to read if you are just starting with Yaoi and want something easy to follow and will leave you with a positive feeling. Personally for me it was lacking something though and I'm looking for more in manga, a story that can truly move me, characters that I can go crazy over or just really well conveyed emotions. This manga has a little bit of everything but doesn't convince me as a whole.
If you are looking for something sweet and light, without much difficult themes then give it a read. It's not something to stay in your head forever though.
